If Freo won't at least offer pick 16, Brisbane won't deal. They'd rather lose him for nothing to GWS than give him to Freo for peanuts. Clark might have to think about coming to Melbourne if he wants to leave Brissy so badly.

EDIT: His manager said on Trade Week Radio that Brisbane deserves a top 10 pick for him, but they obviously don't have one. I have a feeling he might have to swallow his pride and pull on a Lions jumper next year.

Hello essendon person :)

Corollary - if Brisbane want pick 16, Freo wont deal. We'd rather risk picking him up in the PSD than pay Brisbane more than what he is worth to us.

He ment that Brissy are after more than our first pick, and that they should consider they won't get what they want. Personally i expect us to eventually put pick 16 on the table and they will accept.

He's an Eagles fan mate.

If Fremantle get Clarke. Please play him as you're second ruck and rotate him forward.
Piss of Griffen at the end of 2012 and play Clarke and Clark when Sandilands retires in the next 3 odd years.

According to Colin Young, he was down training at Freo, living with Sandilands and his preference was to stay and play with Freo not the toast. :rolleyes:I know you WC fans find it hard to believe that someone from WA might want to play with the other guys.

With the crap we get in the local newspapers here - I'm sure they still don't know there's a second team :p

But but but but.... he's an eagles fan.... really he is.

I am sick of trade week already. So much bullsh*tting and wasting time. It's obvious Clark is worth a first rounder, a 200cm utility player who has shown he can be borderline elite. Fremantle not offering their first pick and Brisbane saying that that pick won't be good enough is just ridiculous. Straight swap, 16 for Clark or maybe chuck in some steak knives and it's pretty damn close to fair. But no, this will drag on all week... (Not just this trade though, sick of hearing about the Ebert trade as well)

Go outside then.

Or read a book.

Clark and 29/compo for Lycett and first round

Clark and compo for Clarke and Duffield. Not sure really.

Yeah okey mate.

You'd give up Clark... lets assume he didnt want to leave and was a required Brisbane player.

You'd give up an 80 game former number 9 draft pick for Lycett and small upgrade on picks!

Good one!!!

Everyone wants to play for freo apparently. All 500 players in the league is what Colin Young says.

Now now... Now you're just being silly. He just said Clarke and O'Meara... that's enough, isn't it?

Oh hang on, I see... they DON'T want to play for WC (along with Ebert - but that's okay cos he doesn't want to play for us either), so that's where your problem (and utter disbelief it seems) lies...

The Bay is a bit further down, go diss us all you want there.

Clarke looked Promising but Lycett did in his first I bet you would not trade Clarke for Clark would you.

As is offering bugger-all for him to get to your club. :)

Are you out of touch with reality.

Freo have pick 16 - What else can they offer ?

And that is about his true value.

Thats life dude. We got bugger all for Josh Carr, Tarrant went back to the Pies in close to AA form and we got bugger all. Swings and Roundabouts.

He trained with Freo during the ais scholarship, and freo assigned Sandi as a mentor for him.
He actually lived with my cousins while in perth and still does has school exams shortly.
He has grown up as a eagle supporter like his father, but already has relationship with Freo, hence his preference for them.
He would of been happy to play for either side though.

Gold Coast will win a flag before freo, so he should be happy. Freo supporters need to get off their high horse and shake their inferior complex.

Do not want Mitch Clark, better suited to freo. Jaeger on the other hand is a big loss to WA.

If we were on our high horse, wouldn't that mean we had a superiority complex?

let me let you guys know something none of you clearly know

r.lyon gave the go ahead of pick 16 and 38 to the club (he also had a couple of other targets though) even before trade week however it is still being negotiated as the power makers at the club are not as keen as lyon

we are all going to find out who is actually in charge at fremantle from now on ???

r.lyon actually has a plan for fremantle

clark (CHF and 2nd ruck role)
pavlich (FF very minimal midfield role)
MIDFIELDER (replacement for r.palmer end of rd 1 comp pick)

(IMO they will then look to either move z.clark or j.griffen (m likely) maybe this year or next) otherwise someone will get pissed getting no games and the value will simply slide

the key foward/ruckman is a very important role nowdays due to int rule and should not be undervalued (think m.kreuzer and d.petrie)

another thing none of you would of heard was he wanted to get b.rutten for FB and put l.mcpharlin at CHF however rutten point blank wouldnt leave SA so nobody even heard anything (they quickly moved attention back to m.clark) lyon wants to build the team from the spine
