So next year when Andrew Demetriou and the AFL are inevitably debating which washed-up hack they will inflict upon us on Grand Final day. We can sit back safe in the knowledge that Meatloaf will be warning them that if they're not up to standard (or in Meatloaf's case, just plain shit), they will be exposed.

Come on Bay 13, show your appreciation for Meatloaf's selfless act in standing up for the little guy, the fans.

I also read some of the comments of those people that went to his concerts in Australia.... and the vast majority said it was one of the worst concerts they'd been to and he had completely lost it. I guess they forgot to do soundchecks there as well.

Exactly, the woman he was singing with didn't have a problem, I for one hope she's been well paid on this tour, clearly she's carrying him.

You really have to love the timing of his anti-AFL outburst, coming right after his solo shows have been rubbished by the masses. He's a master of deflection, "the loaf".

But really, I should stop bagging him. This thread is all about thanking Meatloaf, if he convinces someone like Rod Stewart to not do the entertainment next year, then we can all be grateful.

There's only about half a dozen local acts that are genuinely worthy of it before you start scraping the barrel with the likes of Eskimo Joe or Shannon Noll, and such a scenario is nearly as embarrassing as Meatloaf (though far less expensive).

His Grand Final performance certainly diminishes the music, the songs seriously lose their kick when the performers can't perform them properly anymore. You start to feel kind of embarrassed for them when you see that happening.

As for the quote, didn't it just reek of class from the loaf.
