Since we changed the logo and the away strip how many away games have we won....hmmm...Also the logo, just crap.

a theory: players do not want to play in such a lame away strip no matter how much imploring the coaches do, its all in the mind. Our three big floggins last season were wearing the "cursed" white strip. Coincidence?

Get rid of it now AFC.

I agree with this.

Players should feel privileged to pull on the club jumper. There should be passion in the jumper.

But when you pull on a jumper that has a ridiculous bird head with strange triangles on the back, it would have to be very deflating.

It's based on an old state guernsey. Imagine if Port decided to wear a state guernsey. Or WCE or anything. It just can't be done. But I think we should do something that is similar to that. A predominately yellow guernsey is the way to go.

When was the last time you saw our state guensey? Go and have a look at it and then Port's 'new' guensey and you might be surprised.

The problem with the away jumper is not that it's white, it's the hideous logo.

When we revealed our new logo people immediately compared it to that of the Baltimore Ravens. Well, if we did copy them we picked the wrong one.

Check this out these from the Ravens' wikipedia site. We need a logo more along these lines:

Come on AFC, give us a logo that we aren't ashamed of. Bring it in as an alternate logo, let us get used to it while still keeping the current one as the main logo if you have to. Then after a year or two put it to a member vote.

We have a good logo.

It's not hideous like that of Brisbane, Gold Coast, Hawthorn or Richmond (They're ****ed, they had THE BEST logo, and change it to that. Yuck! though, it's better than the other 3, I'm just dissapointed they changed it.)

We have a good away jersey too.
Not too much stuff crammed in like our previous away jersey.
And it's not too bland like Carlton, Gold Coast, Fremantle or Port's jersey.

It is your opinion, but I don't know many people that would say Our clash is better than Port, Freo or Carlton. Ports would be better if it was Silver, but it is still a classic, clean looking jumper.

It is all about marketing.

Ports guernsey looks like a state jumper with a 'V' on it. The licorise allsorts have a good jumper though. Wish our away one was as good as our home one.

I don't mind them having a white jumper - there are actually a few teams with whom we have quite bad colour clashes at times.

The issue I have is with that hideous raptor's head wrapped around it. Remove the logo that only appears to the infantile and come up with something decent. That's my suggestion.

I totally agree. New logo is the problem. The head just looks weird. Not even a crow. All the spiky tufts at the back? The turned up bottom beak? Light blue? I know they're the club colours, but it just doesn't work.

I actually like the jumper. White is used in many sports as a neutral/clash colour and works quite well with our three primaries. But if needs the old logo, or a revamped version. I don't even mind the idea behind the new logo really, modern flashy whatever. It's just aesthetically, objectively and demonstrably shithouse and I can't believe someone got paid to draw it.

The more I see the inverted home strip, the more I want it as our away strip. Simple, effective and is lightly coloured to please the AFL.

As mentioned before, we could also use this State of Origin type strip for our clash. However, perhaps we could replace the monogram, with CROWS written across the front in a contemporary, edgy font. Not sure how these designs would go for an away game against say Hawthorn, but I guess that could be sorted out.

Its a shame the AFC cant use the state one as our away strip. Its a beautiful thing. The best other alternative has got to be the inverted home strip.

Agreed. Adelaide, Hawthorn, Brisbane and West Coast should all do away with these ghastly cartoon on white away strips. While not everyone considers them 'bad', I'm sure most people would agree that their are better alternatives (such as reinvented State of Origin and Heritage strips.)

Don't think anyone from Port way would care if you wore the 'heritage' state guernsey in yellow. Looks so much better than the hideous white thing you have at the moment.

Every man and his dog can see it's a blatant rip off of the state jumper. I like their new guernsey but when it was brought in Port even said it was like a state jumper saying it reflects their South Australian heritage. I have no problem with that, just as long as we can use that yellow heritage guernsey we used back in 2005.

A few months ago they posted a pic of that heritage guernsey on Facebook, everyone on there said they wanted it brought in again. The AFC said they surveyed the members back in 2005 about it and found that people didn't like it and wanted another design. Very strange if true, as I've only heard good things about it. The only explanation I can think of is that the "knitting belt" disapproved of it and it got shut down due to their vast numbers.

Thing that annoys me about the Port top is the amount of whining that they did when we wore the yellow heritage top about how dare we use a state guernsey blah blah blah and then when they do it, not a word.

I honestly have no idea who they surveyed, sure as hell wasn't me I've always loved that strip!

FWIW - love above proposal and the white guernsey whilst not a fan, does catch the eye (i.e. it is noticeable)

I'd love one too. I don't think they've ever been released for general sale though, kind of like a baggy green deal. My primary school had the exact same design as our SAPSASA guernsey, minus the SANFL logos and all that of course. Should've flogged an XL one.

I have a SoO Rubgy Jumper which is the same design just with the white rugby jumper collar and long sleeves obivously. Its v cool.
