Followed the next year by..

" Dream finish to the season, last 8 matches at the G & all traveling done by round 10. How easy do they have it?"

All the while the muppets don't realise that while exposure & this sort of draw might be good for sponsorships it also has it's negatives as well. It over inflates our position each season (if you follow their logic) which in turn must mean we get worse draft selections as we finish "artificially" higher up.

So it's a negative, bloody AFL handicapping us again.

Tough draw:
- playing Geelong, Hawks, West Coast, Carlton, Essendon twice
- 3 interstate trips last 6 rounds
- only 2 MCG games last 6 rounds

It's tough, 5 teams from last year years finals twice, but we get 14 games at the MCG, including 7 in a row in the middle of the season.

To end the the year we play 8-9 Saturday games (depending on floating round 23 fixture).

I like it, it's tough, but we also play one less game at Etihad.

Only thing I can't understand is a home game at Etihad against North, we shouldn't be playing stadium tenants at that ground as our home game.

Yes, and the interstate games are bunched late, but at least with our last 8 scheduled games being Saturday, the break in between each trip is even.

Very hard draw though I felt this way before 2010 and it worked out ok.

Still at a loss as to how the Herald Sun got it wrong with the no Perth trip line.
And actually published the 5 interstate games erroneously.

Get rid of these stupid sneak peeks and just publish the draw all at once.

Very difficult draw, it's to be expected. I am so sick of previous references of years gone by having an easy draw, we always have the marquee games and this is a true testament to that. We play 5 of the top 8 sides last year twice, look at Essendon who only do it twice. By no means am I complaining or think we have copped it rough but it is a diffiucult draw, we have a run of Carlton/Geelong/Hawthorn three weeks in a row through rounds 15-17. Going to be a great test.

Let them finish on top, apart from us in 2010, finishing on top has been a curse going into the finals.

They still have no backline, we'll beat the Hawks in round 1, and in the finals.

A commercial win for CFC with home matches against Geelong, Hawks, Carlton & Essendon (4 huge home crowds at the G). Also home games against Richmond, St Kilda & West Coast shud also attract good crowds.
Only 1 Sunday game. 13 night games (Fri/Sat). Great TV coverage.
Should be the best ever commercial year/revenue earnings for CFC with this draw.
From a football perspective it is challenging (probably the toughest draw of all clubs), Buckley should thrive on the challenge.

What impact (apart from injuries) did our 3 away games in the last 7 rounds have in 2011? 3 in 6 in 2012. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. People have been bemoaning our lack of travel for years. Last season we got our travelling at the back end of the year as we do next season.
