A quick sample of some stats from the recently finished micro millions for a number of countries.
I have set the baseline stat for all results so that Australia is 1. So for example, if a country has twice as many entrants as Australia, they score 2. If they make half as many final tables, then they score 0.5
The countries I have looked at are Russia, Germany, Canada, the UK, and Australia.
Participants. Australia had 26,637 participants.
Russia: 7.48
Germany: 4.92
Canada: 3.56
UK: 2.79
Australia: 1
Events won by nation
Australia won only one event, which is a bit smaller then anticipated, by mainly a sample size issue. Had we won instead, 0 or 2, stats would be way out
Russia: 23
Germany: 13
Canada: 3
UK: 8
Australia: 1
This sample suggests that Canada has had it rigged against them, since they had more participants then the UK, but the UK won nearly 3 times as many bracelets.
Final Tables
Australia had 20 final tables (one of them mine) /humble brag
Russia: 6.45
Germany: 4.05
Canada: 2.55
UK: 2.15
Australia: 1
This sample shows that compared to the other nations, Australians made a higher % of final tables then all of these countries.
Cashes
Australia had 3323 cashes, 18 of which were mine
Russia: 7.41
Germany: 5.34
Canada: 3.86
UK: 3.11
Australia: 1
These numbers ran fairly close to the entrants numbers, i.e there is no rigging of pokerstars toward a certain nationality.
Summary: That was a fun way to kill 10 minutes, no rigging shown, only major potential flaw is within the bracelet count, which is predominately due to a low sample size. Had one more Aussie won a bracelet, then it would have been a big difference having 100% more winners of course.
