i don't know about anyone of you but i do not rate this guys opinions one bit in football, as a matter of fact i would go close to saying the worst journalist at the moment in football.

last night on AFL 360 he claimed we were lucky to get away with the win, yet nevre took a second to even look at the injuries our club is currently going through, when you are missing reid, tarrant, ball, didak, shaw, thomas, krakouer, have 8 players playing their first anzac day game for the club and have a key defender returning from a year and a half absence to even say such a stupid statement is beyond my belief.

yes all of our main players played well and some of our lower players done a descent job but give a club credit when it is due you useless bald headed wanka, collingwood would have exceeded some expectations to have won that game with the pressure the club has been under and injuries didnt help.

collingwood weren't lucky we were in front for 113 minutes out of 120 i think essendon were lucky to even be within 5 goals.

mark robinson you are the worst journo on football and regardless to any of your opinions the guy is an idiot and nothing more.
 
Whatever, if Essendon had won the game then people will be saying that they would have been lucky to get away with a win.

No doubt we were the dominant team yesterday, but with a game that was only 1 point apart, the result could have gone either way.

What made me laugh was how McClueless pretty much intimidated Robbo into agreeing that Collingwood wasn't good and they were on the way out with the whole 'Don't you agree? Don't you agree' kind of retort?

They all make me laugh...how Whatelely can sit there and criticise our team while his team is left alone most of the time is beyond me.

Today was all about 'oh...80 possessions in the middle and they only win by a point?' People are just looking for whatever they can to downgrade us...and that's awesome to be honest.

Fact is, we're 3-2, Cats are 2-2, Hawks are 2-2, and there are still 18 rounds of footy to play. Bizarrely, Carlton beat us, Bombers beat Carlton, and we beat the Bombers...so what does that prove? Nothing at this stage of the year :) or if you're into intangible numbers, technically, we still lose to Carlton by 29 points.

Anyhoo... seeing the numbers 5, 8, 16, 26 and 34 in the backline yesterday was awesome. The confidence rose a little for me.

campaign has got it spot on us v them.Now they are accusing Blair of being a cheat over the final goal and the one,s who are bleating the most are the neutrals they can get stuffed.
 
Robbo has profound football knowledge, the ability to look at the game of footy from the average punter's point of view, and displays insightful commentary whether it be in the print media, on tv or on the radio.

It's a pity the pen lids still get the better of him.

Only 3 goals and 42 posessions i expected more,Maybe time to get off the cheeseburgers LOL..His not a brownlow medallist and premiership player for nothing wallsy.Wallsy dead set thinks no one compares to judd. Judd is a very good player but what has he done that swanny hasnt done??

Think he is on the best footballing talk show in the country right now.

Lets be honest here, it's only the sensitive ones who always jump to a journalists negative comments about the side they support. Don't like em, then don't listen to them. They aren't always going to impress you with their opinion but be a man about it and shrug it off. It really isnt the end of the world if someone thinks differently to what you do.

If we're expecting a journo to say "Gee, after winning ANZAC day by a point, the Collingwood machine is back in town - pen them in for yet another Grand Final appearance this September!" - um, it ain't gunna happen.

Anyone who wasn't impressed with your win, given your outs, doesn't have a clue.

Of course, Ball isn't coming back, but Thomas and Shaw and Reid will add some class to the commitment.

Yeah Ball is not coming back this season but when Shaw and Thomas and Reid come back they can make a Huge Difference

I agree that it was a good win by Collingwood.

However, Essendon had equally important players missing.
--> Dempsey
--> McVeigh (should retire)
--> Hille
--> Myers (should delist)
--> NLM
--> Winderlich
--> Hurley
Hurley would make us a 5 goal better team and obviously Dempsey, Hille, NLM & Winderlich are in essendons best 22. We still managed to beat Carlton despite our outs.

I believe Collingwood had a tough game against Carlton, we played Carlton under-manned however fresher, knocking them over. Due to injuries, a tough game against Carlton and a 4 day break we faced a Collingwood that was fitter/played better on the day.

However, the last quarter comeback is a testament to Essendon despite how physically their bodies were pushed both on and off the field. Enjoy the 1 point victory Collingwood. Can't say I was happy with the circumstance given the injuries and player condition on both sides. West Coast and Hawthorn are the two sides to take the flag this year. But I hope collingwood have a better season than Carlton.

I think you are very much overrating Hurley saying you be a 5 Goal better team with him in. With our outs I could say we could be a 10 Goal + Better Team Then

Hille in your Essendon's best 22??? Not according to any of the Bombers supporters that I know. If you seriously think that he would have done a better job than Bellchambers on the day then you must be on drugs.
