Round 7 Trades

This week:
Magner -> Horsley
Milera -> Adams

Next week:
An upgrade somewhere, most likely midfield.
Shiel -> K. Simpson perhaps.

Really difficult week coming up. A lot depends on how Goodes pulls up fom his injury. If hes only out for 2 weeks or so I will keep him but if its a month+ I will probably have to trade him.

Thinking at this stage

If Goodes fit or out for 2 weeks
Bench Goodes
Magner > Horsely
Kennedy > Adams

If Goodes out for 4 weeks +
Goodes > Beams
Kennedy/Magner > Horsely

Have to trade out McEvoy and can afford any ruck. thinking Cox is pretty good value right now, or could bring Sandi in if he is named? any thoughts advice?

Gibbs/Dahlhaus had to go.. pathetic scores this year.

Gibbs > Adams
Dahlhaus > Robinson

B: Birchall, Goddard, Deledio, Heppell, Malceski, Drummond, K.Hunt
C: Swan, Pendlebury, Rockliff, Horsley, McDonald, Adams
R: McIntosh, Giles
F: Franklin, Sidebottom, Robinson, N.Riewoldt, Zaharakis, Martin, Christensen

Trades left : 16 (4 more upgrades required)
Cash : $177k

Hoping Horsley becomes a mid premium.

Will be trading Ellis & Magner to get either of Ablett, Mitchell, Boyd, Griffen, Dal Santo or Murphy next week.

Have avoided the injury disasters of Mumford, Sandilands, Dempsey, Fyfe, Shaw, Ablett, Goodes, McEvoy et al all year and haven't had a donut yet but somehow ranked 12,000??

Just after some advice. First time playing dt and I seem to be going fairly well in my league. Having some problems with the rookies I started with. In hindsight I can see what I did wrong and how I would change it if I could go back but now I am in this predicament I need some advice on what to do. I have 3 rookies who don't look like they will be getting any games anytime soon. Team below - would love some opinions.

B: Birchall, Goddard, Deledio, Waters, Hargrave, P Davis, Ellis, Subs: Mohr, Yagmoor
C: Pendlebury, Mitchell, Thompson, Kerr, Magner, Coniglio, Subs: Wingard, C Smith
R: Giles, Kreuzer, Redden, Stephenson
F: Chapman, Fanklin, Lewis, Porplyzia, Ballantyne, Cloke, J Riewoldt. Subs: Kerridge, Sexton

Cheers

18 trades seems pretty reasonable mate. Considering some of the high profile players that have gone down this year include; Fyfe, Ablett, McEvoy, Mumford, Goodes(this week), Shaw .etc. and couple that with a lot of peoples over reaction with Broughton then this means that most people are probably going to be starting this week with around the 16-18 trades mark

Ok good, I'm just super-conscious of burning trades because a couple of times I've gotten towards the end of year and run out of trades which has cost me big time.

Also in the off-season I've been used to EPL fantasy where you have unlimited trades.. heh.

But cool.

Hmm, now I'm not sure whether to do both downgrades, or get another premium into my backline since my seventh defender is one of Surjan/Wilkes/Ellis, and I also have Duffield and Ibbotson who same to take turns with one doing great and one doing shit.

You need some decent rookies in there otherwise you won't be able to upgrade later and you will be hit hard in the bye rounds when you don't have cover. Obvious ones would be Adams for one of your forward rookies and Horsley for Magner/Wingard/ C Smith.

Going to be boring and trade:

Magner > Horesly
Hampton > Adams

Ideally I would be keeping Magner to navigate the round 12 bye but I went the 5 premium mids and only have MacDonald and Greene as my other options.

I have Goodes too but with those trades my forwardline will be:

Sidebottom, Franklin, Zaharakis, Martin, Dangerfield, Porplyzia, Adams (Treloar, Goodes)

For me that's deep enough to warrant holding off upgrading. Will use my 300k cap space to do a double upgrade next week of 2 of Clarke/Ellis/Morris.

Goodes > Beams/Robbo. Leaning on the latter due to his late bye.

With me having Chappy, Sidebum, Beams and Cloke, my round 12 forward line will be a total mess.

Magner > Horse my other trade.

Magner > Horsley

Goodes > Sidebottom

Bummer only wanted to make the one trade this round though my bench cover is not good enough for Goodes to be warming the bench for 6 weeks

Haha I know how you feel in regards to Duff...

I like doing 2 down grades, especially if the league opponent you have is an easy draw. It allows for lots of movement the following week

I dont know what to do. Trade out my non performing cash cows or trade out my near maxed cash cows.

Pretty much

Clay Smith > Horsley
T Dickson > Adams

or hope they come in soon and

Magner > Horsley
Kennedy > Adams

Any suggestions?
