The question has been asked on the Main Board, are Carlton flag contenders? The simple answer, no. We are still 2-3 quality players short of contending.
Not trying to take over your thread but we were glad to see the back of Barker. It's no surprise that our forward line started functioning better right after he left and Buddy started looking dangerous again.
our 2 best were the 2 blokes who listened to the coach put in the effort and did their jobYou've got to be kidding.Once again Scotland was one of our best. Yes his performance wasn't what we are used too, but there were plenty worse than him. Always puts in 110% and has the skills, i.e. that kick to Hampson late in the quarter.
Yarran, Thornton and Brock in for me. We are very, very, very, very lucky that Taylor Walker got rubbed out.
We missed Bootsma.
Seriously Collins has to be a chance. Garlett needs a break. Im not sure Duigan gives us anything like Thornton AT THIS TIME. And I hate toi admit it, but if mclean is going to be the under the pack guy then he needs a few weeks in the team to put it together.
Garlett - MIA - needs a run in the VFL where he wont be gifted any goals and will need to earn his spot in our team - way too comfortable
Armfield - was he even playing tonight?
Joseph - just completely butchered every chance - im usually quick to his defence, but tonight just wasnt his night
Curnow - sloppy, slow and scared - he hasnt been the same since he hurt himself against the saints last year
Rusty - refer to Joseph - only marginally better
Waite was average, Simpson got shut down, Eddie didnt provide the spark he usually did.
One of the most biased umpiring performances that I've ever seen
worst ins ever?
