Why would I go to paddington when I can go to the beaches. I'm already there too much from uni! Oh I miss having everything I do in NB.

I don't like sushi. Especially not for dinner. I hve a big appetite you know, I'm eating for two. Myself and My kid with AG

Hugo's is shit food and cocktails for rich 18 year olds. There I said it.

I don't know if I'd feel comfortable eating at a place that has a "Management dressed by Herringbone" disclaimer on its menu, though, Shotties. That's more offensive than the wagyu prices.

I think you're jealous about the time Tadhg sat next to me at the grill, there. Didn't see the Herringbone comment, though that did make me snarf.

Hugo's is shit though.

Vonn, have you considered Buon Ricordo?

Vonn, have you considered Seabay on Pitt St? You can smash enormous plates of dumplings, lamb buns and homemade noodles for hours on end, wash it down with some long necks, and it'll be like $15 per head. If you're really lucky, a junky will go the nod at their table, and you'll have to help the little uyghur staff get her out the door.

It's all lit with fluorescent lights, too, so visibility is excellent.

I actually agree with Hugos being shit, but I really just want to go somewhere local and convenient with a more formal atmosphere because
a) it's his birthday
b) afterwards we can just go to bed cause Ill be tired hahaha.

If i wanted to go somewhere for really good seafood I'd go up to Hawkesbry but given I have uni and he has work the next day... 2 hour drive = no.
What about those resturants on Darling Harbour? I want somewhere that isn't just good food but good views etc. too. I don't care about cost just for that day. Normally I like value for money but hey live a little sometimes!

EDIT: Nah JMoore don't see the point in spending any $ for things like that when it's normally shitter than what even I can make.

Ah, my friend is always going on about a Uyghur restaurant near Chinatown but then always pikes on the name, either not responding to the message or just punching me in the face and walking away. Good / would you eat again?

Yes / I do repeatedly

Grim: There are probably better ones than Seabay around these days (I see them popping up everywhere the past few years), but this is an institution for me.

Vonn: I was joking.

Best dumplings are the ones we make at home from scratch! Doesn't anyone else feel reluctant to eat foods from their culture at resturants if/because normally they butcher it & nothing will ever compare to homemade food and tastes that you grew up with?

Don't be so damned pretentious. I know dumplings taste better when I can see them being made by an array of middle-aged Chinese women wearing face masks.

I have no culture and my parents can't cook, so no.

The good Uighur restaurants are on Dixon St, complete with fake grapes hanging from the ceiling (don't ask, don't know). Seabay is very good for dumplings though.

True that. Went to one of those places last Monday, fake grapes and all. We got like 6 meals between the 3 of us and it all cost like 30 bucks.

Despite arriving back at my car to see I got a parking ticket, it was a good night's worth of stuffing our faces.
