To do with Pearce's mother and from Minsons comments regarding Kane Corne's son in 08 (date?)

Doesn't his son have a heart defect?

Disgrace if comments were made about that.

Happened 5 years ago. Minson has apologised for it. He wouldn't have done it again, so it would be about something else.
Apparently said something about Pearce's mother.

i remember Glenn McGrath exposed himself as a weak bully 10+ years ago
Was it Ramprakash (sp?) the West Indian?
McGrath came down the wicket and said something unsavory about possible sex practices he preferred, and Ramprakash immediately responded with "well your wife didn't mind it last night", which, all of you reading are saying to yourself something like well yeah thats just the typical response one would give and one would expect to receive if they made that statement, and you all just chuckle and move on

But no, not Glenn McGrath. You see his now immortalised in Pink wife (rest her soul) was ill at the time , and he went ballistic. "you keep my wife out of this " an don and on he went

The point was, if you can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen

Lucy, they are big boys, and that guy is a known idiot

Let the men take care of it themselves.

The less oxygen these idiots are given, the easier it is for people who do say something they regret- to come up after and apologise. chances are they feel dirty on themselves once the adrenalin and testosterone cools down

if they don't, then they are idiots and everyone in the AFL community learns about it sooner or later

If it is given oxygen, the afl gets involved and people with jobs reliant on there being incidences (cough Mifsud) get involved and its gets all out of hand and no one wins

personally, i prefer not to know, even though i am curious what he said. but its not my business, and so i shouldnt know, and it should be left amongst the players, even if they feel they need to afl to counsel him or get involved

final note: there are always 3 sides to a story, your side my side & the truth. that and glenn mcgrath will forever be consigned to being a tool for his reaction0 which was very typical of the Australian cricketers attitude through those successful years

Minson got off light a few years ago when he told Kane to 'Go home, look after your kid' (or words to that effect). It would have been a bigger story nowadays with social media and Fox talk shows the way it is.

I expect the Bullie fans to rally behind him, but to most other clubs fans, he's the biggest knob running around in red, white and blue (although Sherman makes it a close call)...

evidentally, pearce's mum doesn't wear army boots..

LOL.

That's the same thing I thought of as well.

Pretty soon you are not going to be able to say a thing on the field. For what it's worth according to my opponents while playing my mother did wear army boots, she also slept with the guy that stood the mark while I had a shot at goal 10 years ago, my non existent sister slept around a lot, I worked at a fruit shop and a fish and chip shop, I was my brother son you get the theme here. All this and many many more comments similar didn't phase me one bit. They're just words after all.

Toughen the f up boys!!!!!!!

I think the McGrath reaction was reasonable and should not be critisized for not taking the joke. He was joking about the batter and brian lara when the batter shot back a comment regarding his wife. It is not the batters fault because he had no idea McGrath's wife was sick but what was a comment made in jest blew out of control. If the batter said anything at all different about anything I am sure McGrath would have played nicer.

I am not in the belief players should make any comments under any context about opposition players families as circumstances like the minson case can happen even though i doubt minson intended any of his comments to be taken offense. Knowledge is everything and if you dont have it dont assume a comment even in the most light hearted nature will be taken as intended.

Wasn't it Eade who branded him "the dumbest smart man around"??

What if your mother or sister had just died or had cancer when that comment was made?

Just because you take something with a grain of salt doesnt mean you should expect the next person to, all circumstances are different.

It was Ramnaresh Sarwan that McGrath was sledging and yeah I agree that if you dish it out you can't complain if you cop it back, Sarwan obviously wasn't aware that McGrath's wife was ill with cancer at the time or I'm sure he wouldn't have said what he said.

I also agree that players and their WAGs should stay out of twitter wars as it isn't a good look and just creates needless controversies with the gutter trash media looking to jump on the hint of any scandal.

It doesn't take the smartest guy to work out it's just words.

Sticks and stones.......

Agree with this Minson doesn't appear to exactly be the sharpest tool in the shed, but is this the path we really want things to go down? A players partner abusing an opponent through social media? So what next? A player sitting there on Brownlow night decides to have a crack at another players partner on her appearance, dress etc? Imagine the shitfest that is going to start.

twitter is just ego centric people shouting into a chasm of emptiness anyway
they're all talking, no one is listening

as for Ramprakantfarkesh, i knew his missus was sick, and i still would have said it. its instinctive and its 1-2
mccgrath started it, if he didnt like it he ends it by turning around and walking off
call him a useless gay cricketer afraid of little girls and cricket balls is one thing, but he walked into that one
