Minson didn't have a go at a 2year old though. He made comments to an adult 5 years ago. The two comments are hardly one in the same.

So let me get this right. If Lucy Cornes came onto Big Footy and called Minson an oxygen thief that would be OK because she'd probably have a made-up handle that couldn't identify her. I don't think many people are arguing that what he said was right.
It's more the media uproar, Lucy Cornes' outrage etc etc which we think is all way overblown.
If this happened in a workplace, the person would probably get a warning and a slap on the wrist.

What I'm saying it's a poor comparison. The everyday workplace is a completely different environment to battling it out on the football field.If you're trying to compare the two you are really grasping at straws.

For starters, no one apart from Minson himself knows what he actually said. Not Lucy Cornes, not the umpire, not the media, certainly not Caroline Wilson, and if it was actually misheard, not Danyle Pearce himself. So I don't know how the "knuckle draggers" are supporting what he said. There are a lot of hypotheticals flying around.

Second, I bet there were also "knuckle dragger" Port supporters back in 04 who came up with the "what's said on the field stays on the field" line too.

I am assuming you believe A - women are equal to B - Men
But whilst your very protective of A when insults are cast you are insensitive to insults directed at B

It is quite plain that you believe A - Women require greater protection than B - Men.
Thus we must all conclude that, in your mind, A is weaker than B or more special than B or that B is more monstrous than A.
