Carvalho is way too old for a move to anywhere but Portugal or UAE/China/MLS

He is nearly 35

Still too young for the A-league though

Apparently Liverpool have made a 30million bid for James Rodriguez from Porto or are about too.

Flies in the face of reports that we had a 30million bid rejected.

40million is the buy out clause. I hope no teams pays that. Also I can't see Utd even offering that much for a 20yo unless Nani is all but gone for 30million +.
That pretty much goes against everything that has been reported about our spenditure this summer.

Depends what the valuation of Sahin is. Carvalho is the set of steak knives around 1-2m + 20m + Sahin assuming he is rated 8-10m would be ok if the Vertonghen deal fails. If we do sign Vertonghen which im still confident we will 23m + Sahin would be great

Carvalho is out of the question. The guy will move overseas for big money without question, as will our own 35 year old defender, William Gallas.

Sahin + 20-30m for Modric is the only swap deal we should be going for.

Sahin and 20-30 million dollars?? You would think Modric is every bit the worlds greatest midfielder. Sahin and 10 million is closer to the mark.

Madrid only paid 10m for Sahin in the 1st place, and he only made 10 appearances in all comps for them this season so his value will definitely have depreciated. I think considering Spurs were after £30-40m last season, £20-30m and Sahin would be about right.

This may be out of left field, but has anyone heard news on, Rhys Williams (aussie bloke from boro) heading to a premier league club? Alot of aussie media jumping the gun mid season (just gone) saying its a strong possiblity. Would love for him to hit the big stage. Best of luck to him.

I dont care that City have money, it was hilarious the way they snatched the title off Utd. Id love it if we had a huge sugar daddy too. Just not to be.

What a load of tripe your posts are, you have had/have loads have money to spend and have bought overrated English players (Downing, Henderson, Carroll)

Liverpool while still an attractive club to play for, are not at the level of the big clubs in the world on the field or of it anymore.

Sky Italia are saying Liverpool have submitted a £15m (approx €19m) bid for Uruguayan attacking midfielder/winger Gaston Ramirez. The Bologna chairman recently said he valued him at €20m (approx £16m) so unless they're going to hold out for a higher bid from another club this may well go through as theres not a huge difference between the 2 valuations.

Mandzukic has signed with Bayern.

Good news for those that hope Dzeko stays (including me).

On Modric, I value him at £25m max. The £40m Spurs asked last year was well over the odds, and he's now a year older, a year less left on his contract and he showed signs last season that if he is forced to stay at Spurs another year it might not be the best thing for their team.

Sahin probably worth £15m now.

Guangzhou Evergrande owner Xu Jia Ying has apparently offered Wayne Rooney 325,000pounds a week to come and play in the Chinese league. Just waiting on a answer from Rooney's camp.

Sorry Mr Ying but have you heard of a thing called a contract? Yes if for some weird reason Rooney accepts do you have the 100million + that it will cost to buy him?

Dumb.

Net spend of about 50 million last year isnt a huge amount of money. We certainly dont have the kind of money that City and Chelsea have. Off the field, we are of course still up their with any team. On the field lately we have struggled. Hopefully we can turn that around.

100 million plus? Geez... maybe 60 million tops.

United would not sell him for anything less then 100million. It wouldn't surprise me if he has a buy out clause which is more then that.

Hopefully you can't.

So Ronaldo is sold for 90 million but Rooney is worth 100 million plus?

No his value would be around 60 million. Utd wouldnt sell him anyways. Rooney also would have no interest in playing in China.

How can Sahin's value double when he played about 4 games all season?
