Burns would be good. He has been assistant coach for awhile now learning his craft and best of all he is not a Port Adelaide man. We badly need to go outside of the club whoever our next coach is.

If that's even true ... it had ZERO impact on the playing group ... which is a bit of a concern !!

Selling real estate with his son. He was on Open Mike a few weeks ago and looked happy working with his son. Did a real estate course to get his ticket - think he said 5 month intense course.

Although down deep he probably still wants to coach. Bloody Tom Hafey is almost 80 and you can tell he would still love to coach. Once a coach always a coach.

Gotchy will stay, or should stay. Probably knows the list better in his first year than most at the club. Highly respected and knows his stuff. Made some very diplomatic first thoughts of the playing group on arrival (we could all read between the lines.) Plus we are gunna need all the help we can get in drafting interstate players.
Dennis Pagan is a ripper bloke, in everything and ready to help. Quality guy love to see him as a mentor. My pick for senior coach 013?. Leon Cameron.

This was his second full year as coach - can't remember a coach being treated the way he has been so quickly in his tenure. Voss has Brisbane 2 wins and 6 percentage points above Port in his forth full year as coach .

Most teams have good times and then bad. He is not responsible for the quality of players at his disposal . Then he gets a terrible run of injuries to the team which makes a huge difference to performance. Injuries screw top teams badly what's it going to do to a bottom half team ?All you can ask a coach to do is improve the team and Port has ,despite a few bad results , improved since last year .

When you have a developing team or one that needs holes filling you get inconsistency - that's going to happen. You can want a team to improve quickly and make finals all you like but usually it takes time. It's not about players letting the coach down like I just heard someone on the radio say - it's just that there aren't enough good one's at Port at the moment . Weren't Adelaide shit last year ? I think they were if I recall correctly.

I guess that's coaching for you .Think the motto is if you are going to get into coaching start with a team that's already good or on the way up.

actually, the motto is more like "if you can't coach, don't ask for the job, accept match payment, not drop trade delist the junk, and expect to be extended after you have proven you can't coach"

you conveniently neglected to mention. Primus. CAN'T. COACH
