Heard it a few weeks ago but would be suprised if it was true. because.....
1. AFL would have to suspend him straight away
2. Hawthorn would know and wouldn't be saying "yeh he'll be back next week"

...still a bit worried though

No the AFL would weigh up the benefits of making this public.

Then they'd decide whether to suppress it. Apparently there's a clause within the illicit drugs policy which places the decision to go public at the disgression of the AFL medical officer.

For all we know Buddy could be a raging coke head in the mould of Montanna but if the medical officer feels it would be harmful to the player involved the matter is kept inhouse.

I won't read this crap, or anything from Aker (he is a arseclown), however, I can tell you categorically that Buddy IS NOT on 3 strikes and will be lining up for the HFC this Sunday.

God, Aker is sub-human.

What I dont understand is if they were so worried about him getting a third strike, why did they even bother testing him. If the reply is that its done independently then that would mean quite a few people would know this secret for a fact, and surely somebody with more credibility than Aker would have said something, and that the AFL doesn't have enough say in who they test, but enough sway to get these people to risk their careers on this conspiracy theory.

Exactly.

If people applied logic, these rumours simply wouldn't stand up to it.

so many people have forgotten the medical records incident

What, the incident where players' private medical records were stolen, and were than sold to an unscrupulous journalist, who intended to make them public, until the club sought an injunction to prevent this illegal act, which was duly granted by acourt of law in observance of all current laws regarding the balance between privacy and the public's right to know?

No, I don't think we've forgotten that incident...

That's the incident. The one with the medical records about to expose Lance Franklin for the pill popping steroid shafting party boy that he is.

2008 Premiership*

Yes, yes, yes, you know a bloke who knows a bloke who etc etc etc.

Face it, you know **** all about it, but unfortunately knowledge is no prerequisite for opening one's mouth these days.

Buddy is Buddy, and you're just another sad internet blowhard, with a bucket of bullshit to fob off on the world in the hope of sounding knowledgeable.

Keep this rubbish in the bay..the main board is for grown-ups...

According to BigFooty Buddy has been on 3 strikes before he was even drafted and accumulated countless more since.

Right now he should be somewhere in the thousands, it's just him, everyone else is clean.

Spot on and at Cat land our boys just buy them for friends....

I'm no Hawthorn fan but geez even I'm tired of this "injunction" bulltish. He who is without sin yada yada

HFC surely are aware these rumours are rife.

Has there been any public announcement by the club denying the truth of them?

Why deny them? As soon as we come out to deny them it gives them more credability and more legs.

If there was any legitimacy to these rumours, the real media (not just Aker on twitter) would be all over it.

After Ben Cousins and how he made the AFL's drug rules look, they too would be all over it like stink on shit.

This is crap, any sensible person knows it, idiots try and run with it

Fair enough

Aker doesn't bow to convention.

It's a persistent rumour and it's hard to think there's no truth to it.

I know. Aker says it the way he sees it.

Aker has zero integrity and heading into the negative zone, but some will hang onto him for the one odd thing he gets right.
Any moron could do that. Aker just has a bigger mouth than the average punter but if people like Mundine are your go..........................

Ok. Someone sent me something about you, that is 100% slanderous and unfounded. I'm a public figure and I'm going to retweet it and "offer my opinion" on this rumour, so your the whole world can see it, including your family and friends. This rumour will not only destroy your reputation, but it will also effect your potential future income and could cost you hundreds of thousands of $$. It's okay because I've just retweeted the lies and made a subtle insinuation that you're a drug addict. It's okay yeah? We're still cool?

Are people really this stupid?

To the letter of the law yes. Don't let your emotions get the better of ya darl
