Wish we had a few more like Brown. Is good enough to play AFL but doesn't mind playing in the WAFL until his chance comes. Doesn't complain, at least publicly, and doesn't lose form or motivation.

Completely accurate though. none of our players are so dominant at wafl level to suggest they deserve automatic selection in the AFL.

As far as pure stopping defenders go though, Brown has been as close to dominant as any of our blokes in the past two weeks. Hasn't been getting many touches but pretty successfully blanketed two of the better wafl KPFs in Hansen and Jones.

He should realise that his time is coming and instead of getting dominated by AFL forwards like other underdone KPDs, he'll be able to hold his own once Glass passes on the baton.

Mind you Stevenson is probably unlucky, playing a role that perhaps isn't conducive to giving the appearance of dominating.

Still, some powerful depth would be good.

Performed pretty admirably the last few times he got called up as well. Especially considering he was going up and down between levels.

Yeah, from the reports during the year it seemed most times he played as an IM he had a good game.

Was he played more outside during the GF?

Every time I watch Ian Richardson play I can't believe he never made the next grade. I have no doubt he would be more productive than Hams up forward. Has kicked 250 goals over the past 5 years. Not the type of player we need with Lecras and now Hill playing as small to medium marking fwds, but he's a very clever forward and a dead eye.

How to be an expert on eagles fringe players:

1. Watch WAFL grand final
2. Assume that the way players play in the grand final is exactly the way they've been playing all season
3. Make judgments on their worth as a player from step 2

On Friday the WAFC will put a proposal to 9 WAFL clubs for WC and FRE alignment. Most likely WC and WP/ Freo Peel

I thought the original pairing was FRE-PEEL and WCE-PERTH.

Obviously WCE realise the dangers of aligning with a club like Perth...

The other 7 presidents' besides the 2 being aligned, will not accept it. Too many bad memories from the halcyon days of the South Freo, Claremont and EP alignments.

Yep, their success has essentially shot down the argument being put forward, IMO.

You over rate Richardson far too much. I mean, if Eagles supporters complain about Hams, Shuey, Selwood acting for free kicks, I'd hate to think how they'd react to Richardson.
