The combined GC pressure and extra dough are the issue.

If Josh could freely choose his club and was offered equal money from all parties, then he would be a North player.

I don't watch the Suns so I don't know how great he is or could be - and I don't watch the under 18s to know what we'd get with a pick we saved instead of spending it to buy Caddy. I just don't want North to pay too much, just to prove we can. That's a mug's game.

Pick 14 should be on the table, plus maybe a later pick. Possible there could be some exchange of draft pick. Our first two for Caddy and their 2nd or 3rd round.

We need a get Carey back to North movement. It's a member based club, the members must be heard.


I know of some staff members that are have raised the issue of there being very little, read none, in the way of Carey pictures or memorabilia around the place, back of house or in the foyer etc.

I know he is not full time committed material, but Jesus we are selling ourselves mighty short on all this.

If only to help coach our talls a few sessions here and there. Get that aura and winning spirit back to the club. I'll drop whoever stands in the way god damn it!!

Gold Coast only have 1 selection in the first round, and are after another as they want to add more elite talent to their squad this year.

Geelong is offering their compensation pick for losing Gary Ablett which is not active for this draft.

The saints however are happy to part ways with their first round pick in this years draft at no 12, which could be all the difference

I see the upside as this: We spend two less years training a quality kid.

I'm all for it.

But, if we don't get him, I don't think it's the end of the world.

I really think with pick 14 we can snare a potential quality player, first round and a bit of this draft is stacked full of them.

As Tef keeps pointing out, this draft runs out of puff at about pick 25-30.

This superdraft bullshit is ridiculous.

I want the club to be trading our 2nd and 3rd picks for something, and hopefully engineering a trade for an under-utilised player at another club.

this is the thing i don't get. The 3 clubs draft picks are hardly a difference. Surely North can get a deal done? I bloody hope so anyway
