This new ruck rule gonna effect Witts in a negative way? Seems like he'd be a big, strong, physical type.

I think our best team next year will involve Brown at FB, Keefe at CHB and Reid as a floating intercept mark like player. I think Shaw or OBrien might have to play on a forward flank.

Reid by the end of last season was our best kpd but Keeffe in the games early last season was definitely our best kpd and I agree if he had sustained that form for the year he was a chance and a good one but it is immaterial now I just hope he gets back to his best,as he showed last year his best is very very good.

If by "best" you mean "fittest", then you're right. Reid was injured in round 3 and then missed two weeks, then was injured in round 8 and missed three weeks. It doesn't change the fact that he was, and is, the best key defender on our list.

I know that Reid when fit is the best Kpd on our list probably at his best without peer through the whole competition but that does not alter the fact that Keeffe early early last season was our best Kpd.

As I said if Keeffe had not got injured and was still playing at the level he was at before injury he was one of the best 2 or 3 kpd going around on form certainly his best was better than what Brown produced apart from Anzac day but we know he was coming back from a knee himself.

There maybe a big difference between Reid and Keeffe but there certainly is not between Brown and Keeffe when both are fit,we did not see the best of Reid consistently until very late in the season.

Ps only a fool would deny that Reid is the best key position defender we have.

I actually thought Reid was average to poor defensively for a lot of the season. His ability to intercept marks and use his kicking skills in attack make him a quality key defender, but he's no star purely as a defender IMO. He gets outbodied far too often for my liking. Keefe was somewhat more impressive in that respect for me, particularly as he usually took the best key forward. I think Keefe also has plenty of potential to develop his own attacking game being a pretty good kick himself.

Wow, we must be watching different games. Reid struggled a bit early in the season, largely due to injury, but he was fantastic in the latter half of the season for mine.
