Start using his name as common vernacular..instead of the C word.. it will catch on....."I'm having a Kurt Tippett of a day!!".... "some Kurt Tippett just cut me off!"...."What a Kurt Tippett!"
Yes, love this idea for the following reason:

[ramdon] It would be wonderful if people use Kurt Tippett's name instead of Jesus Christ when they express frustration/anger or are swearing.

Examples:
For Tippett's sake, leave me alone!
Kurt Tippett, what's wrong with you?
Person 1: I ran over your cat. Person 2: Kurt.

Any name would do really. Saddam Hussein, Idi Amin, Adolf Hitler. Whatever floats your boat. Would much rather read that. If only (personal pet peeve). [/random]

What I find baffling is the continued need to make allusions to the supposed femininity (and the thought that this is supposed to be insulting is bad enough) of players who leave our club. Like anyone on this board has the fortitude to approach a 200+cm 100+kg man and call him 'skirt'. Kurt Tippett is alot of things. A weakling he is not.

Yep agreed. Im beginning to become a bit disturbed about the level of hatred this board can generate against some players - first Gunston, now Tippett. Im not saying they don't deserve some razzing but these concerted hate campaigns are getting OTT IMO.

Tippett in particular will pay dearly for the manner of his exit from the Crows. It will follow him for the rest of his life. Its what he will be remembered for regardless of how good a footballer he might become.

So sure, razz him next time he's in Adelaide but concerted hate campaigns should not be who we are as Crows supporters.
agreed. way too much effort to hate someone to that extent. boos would suffice i would think.

where did the skirt nickname come from anyway?

Most likely scenarios:

Round 7: Sunday May 12, GWS at Skoda
Round 11: Saturday June 8, Sydney at AAMI

If it's GWS he joins, pity it won't be at home..
But you can go and welcome him when Port play GWS at AAMI in Round 2..

So, which one will it be Tiprat? :D

If it's Sydney, I predict another Kurtcussion in Round 10 ;)

As much as I loathe giving money to Port, if Kruntley plays for GWS I'll be there to tell him how much we love and admire him for being a kruntley

We started doing that in our house the day he said he was going to Sydney, it's catching on at kids sports clubs too :)

Context?

Sheedy really does know how to work the media doesn't he. He's obviously a pretty decent coach, but I think the best value that GWS will get out of him is the way that he can garner media attention for the club, even if he is just stirring the pot. God I hope he is serious about GWS picking $kurt up though.

Oh and I fully expect to see a repeat of some of the $cully shenanigans that went on the first time Melbourne played GWS. If $kurt does go to GWS I think you will see several hundred Crows supporters going along to the Port game just to abuse and cheer against him.

I love Sheedy. :)

Guy I know is on FaceBook trying to organise a group of people to throw tomatos at a cardboard cut out of Tippett in Rundell Mall on Friday.

Great idea, that wont half make us look like complete and utter ****wits.

my disgust for trigg has washed away any ill-feeling for kurt. i don't care if he gets to sydney and i don't care if swans get him for nothing. he's already gone and we got nothing for him, so we move on. of course it's not easy to do with this investigation hanging over our head and not knowing what sanctions may result from it. it's made even harder when the employee resonsible for the debacle is still sitting in the head chair emailing the members as if it's 'business as usual'.

A better idea.....

We have a cardboard cut out of Tippett in Rundle Mall on Friday with a big hole cut out where his mouth should be, you line up 20 meters directly in front and throw gold coins at it, if you get a coin in you get a lollypop (because Tippett sucks) if you lose the money stays on the ground. At the end of an hour or so any money on the ground is collected up and donated to Beyond Blue; as Tippett must have been so totally depressed in Adelaide on loads of $$$$$$ that he has potentially committed career suicide, Beyond Blue is a good cause and it's a good idea to donate to stop any other overpaid, over-rated footballers doing the same!

Tippett could possibly line up 10 meters directly in front, but I'm thinking would still miss.......

Before anyone has a go at me about suicide, I am allowed to discuss it as my brother committed suicide and as a family who survived suicide, it is our God-given right to say what the hell ever we want!

That's with the assumption that we believed that we absolutely would be forced to trade him in 2012. If that was the case then why didn't we trade him last year when Brisbane made us a good offer? The Club, rightly or wrongly, believed that they could convince him to stay. So to use your analogy it more like deciding to rob a jewellery store, getting to the front door, deciding against it and then being charged with it. Yes it was planned for, but ultimately it didn't happen and i'd like to believe part of the reason for that was the club came to senses at the last minute and fessed up.

Probably a bad idea to keep running with flawed analogies, but what the hell :p It would probably be more accurate to say that we stole some jewelry looking to wear it ourselves, and got found out. We can't then claim we've been punished by not having the opportunity to sell it.

Yes and it will quite properly be 'business as usual' until the investigation is over and the Board decides his employment fate. Its not at all hard to be fair...

And as just as big ****wits as Tippett, and worse than the cringe-worthy Crows singing at Adelaide Airport did...

An MCG Bay 13 style "Tippetts a W*nker" will suffice for me, get enough supporters involved and they will turn off the ground microphones..

I'd prefer 50,000 people not saying anything abusive at all, just simply the sound of peoples fingers rubbing together making the 'Money Gesture'

I know you can hear my fingers Tippett!!!

But he is a weakling, that is the point. Too weak to face his team mates. Too weak to do the right thing by the club. Too weak to take responsibility for his actions (he is claiming ignorance of the contract now?)

Calling him $kirt (note the $ sign) is an insult to anyone who wears a skirt.

I don't agree but the analogies have def been fun :p

couple of beers makes the smallest man courageous

also, whos going to be afraid of him doing anything about it, its not like the media dont need more of a reason to be all over him

It doesn't have to be physical reference, it refers to his soft mental approach.

Would anyone tell Triggy to his face he should be sacked?

Interestingly rowey says the "bunsen burner" is now being turned right up on Sydney.
I don't see how they could be implicated. They weren't involved in the initial agreement, and hence how could they have done anything wrong? Knowing of the agreement shouldn't be enough to land them in hot water, as much as I'd like it to.
