I'm gettin' too old for this s**t!

Alright, here we go ladies and gentleman.

I've randomised the categories and here's the results:

1. Tom Cruise (starring)
2. WW2
3. Zombie
4. A number in the title (not including sequels)
5. Scorsese (directed)
6. Disaster (natural)
7. Jim Carrey (starring)
8. Disney animated
9. Worse Picture Razzie winners
10. Released before 1950

Now more importantly, here is the list of forumers that will be drafting in the Murtaugh Division and the order in which they will be drafting. To get this I took the pool of 20 forumers, randomised them, then put the first ten in here and the second ten in the Riggs Division (I have screen shots of the randomisation but does anyone really care?).

1. jod23
2. JP Sauce
3. j0rdy1
4. boneofshin
5. jackn
6. Roobs321
7. DIG
8. grizzlym
9. jlind78
10. Dirtywhirl

To put it simply, jod23 will pick first for Tom Cruise movies, then drop to 10th pick for WW2, then up 9th for Zombie, 8th for a number in the title, etc. Each new category you move up a spot in the draft order.

When selecting your movies try to give us your reasons why. Write as much as you can be bothered as it makes for better discussion.

And as I said in the other thread:
24 hour limit to make picks, after that it's up to the next person in the draft.
Any questions then tag me in your post, or private message me.
Any issues over the categories then raise them quickly.

All makes sense yes? Then let's get this bad boy started!

jod23 you're up first. You get more time because you're making the first overall pick and it takes time to research this properly :p, but don't take ages! Also you're a veteran now so hurry this s**t up, haha.

Well pick 1 ... it's obvious. There has been better overall films that Tom Cruise has starred in but nothing quite so iconic. I grew up on it and this is before everybody started hating Tom Cruise.

I feel the need. The need for speed.

Also for newbies...

Dont waffle on about other movies you were going to select before announcing your selection. Stay tight lipped as others may have forgotten about certain films which your hoping drops to you only for several posters to mention it in your post. Know what im saying...

Talk about the movie you are selecting not the three or four you almost went with.

Worked out well for creator JP Sauce *cough* rigged *cough* Top 4 picks for WW2, Zombie and Scorcese. Nice effort champ :D
I have pick 10 for zombies! And if I was going to rig it I'd have kept alfy! picking after me. The ! at the end of his username always made my tags seem urgent and important.

Picking a movie here is a near unachievable task.

I guess you could call it...

No.

Tell you what though, I've been in Ireland for 10 days now and I'm sick of all the Rain Man.

An excellent film, fully deserving of its 4 Oscars (including best picture). Dustin Hoffman is brilliant and the star of the show as the autistic Raymond, but Cruise is also great as his narcissistic (a thing he can play very well) brother Charlie. I'd write more but I wasn't kidding about my flight earlier.

j0rdy1 you're up.

My #1 is for the Razzies? WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want screenshots of this randomisation hahahahaha

Actually pretty happy to get a latish pick for zombies. I LOVE the genre and will be happy with my top 10 list.

Also going to be fun watching jod23 and Roobs321 argue and flirt!!!!!! ;)

Just wondering people, are you picking what you think everyone will rate? or picking your favourite Tom Cruise movie??

I'm really surprised that if you lined up all of the big noses films anyone would think Top Gun is the best or their favourite??

My top 5 are available but will any last until 9?

I picked my favourite. Which is Top Gun. All his best films are his early work. Plus I needed speed. So, the choice was easy.

Disagree with this. Rain Man is fairly comfortably his best film. I'd say he's got at least two post 2000 films that would sit on the next tier in terms of quality. Top Gun would not be top 5 in terms of quality (maybe even 10). Having said that, it is also my favourite and I probably would have tossed a coin to decide between TG and RM.
