Who said we've paid outside it? My understanding is we haven't paid anything.
And I think 99% of people think a breach of salary cap means exceeding the salary cap. To say the club has breached the cap is misleading. Why not just say they may have not complied with the rules...?
It really is just another example how the media have beat this up.

I really hope the legal team run with it from this angle.

I'd be surprised if the Sydney Leadership group are actually concerned about KT coming to there Football club now.

Being in Melbourne, we get an entirely different angle on the proceedings to Adelaide based fans.

Over here, Vics see the delay of the hearing as a sign of guilt - us trying to get some draft picks used up before it all goes sour.

I have not heard anyone put up the facts yet - its got to the stage where they are bleating about Carlton's Judd deal, and then in the next sentence when someone makes a tenuous link to Tippett it is usually shouted down with - "thats completely different, Adelaide tried to hide everything and are flat-out cheats".

I would say that the order of things to most punters in Vic, ranked with worst offence being number (1) :
(1) AFC side $ with Balfours
(2) AFC side agreement with KT for 2nd round pick stuff
(3) Melbourne tanking - maybe, but they shouldnt be punished coz its AFL's fault

The Judd deal has always been a sticking point for non-Carlton supporters, but only the Carlton people are now screaming about a deal that was ok and now isnt.

And I know I'm harping on this point a bit but I dont get whats hard to see about the minimum 2nd Round pick thing - to use the selling example mentioned a few pages back:

Lets say the agreed terms in the contract is minimum of $10 -

If the agreed minimum amount is kept confidential:
AFC - we want to sell KT to you guys
SFC - how much?
AFC - make an offer ... but remember, he is a sought after player by other clubs and we know you want him
SFC - $20
AFC - Deal

If the agreed minimum amount is NOT kept confidential:
AFC - we want to sell KT to you guys
SFC - how much?
AFC - make an offer ... but remember, he is a sought after player by other clubs and we know you want him
SFC - ok, but you remember that sometimes "confidential" is a very loose term ...
AFC - Damn you Tippetts
SFC - $11 + you have to pick up our garbage for a year
AFC - Muther Effing Sons of Bitches ...

You just have to read the main board to see the truth in this.

Can you imagine what he will do to the Sydney group's psyche if he actually makes it there!

There HAS to be quite a few Sydney players hoping to Santa that Tippett doesn't come to Sydney. Officials on the other hand would probably only look at his output on the field.
