This is what I don't understand too!! We offered him a contract, he declined it. He heads to the draft like anyone else. If we hadn't tried to retain his services, then it might be a different story. He is just forcing himself to become a Free Agent. This sounds an awful lot like Draft Tampering in itself.

If not tampering, then certainly manipulation. He wants what he wants and that's it. "Make it happen Daddy".

They're not going to allow him to become a delisted free agent because of the precedent it would set. It would mean any disgruntled player could become a free agent and any club could freely poach a disgruntled player simply by subverting the trade process as Sydney did.

Caroline Wilson confirmed as much on 5AA last night and her info comes direct from AFL House.

I hear what you're saying, and have read Caro's article on the subject - however, it's just too muddy at the moment to know what the hell is going on.

Everyday their seems to be something different happen, some new piece of news and each article contradicts each other. So at the moment, I just expect to open the Age, Adelaide Now or Herald Sun to find an article saying the AFL have granted him his wish.

One bloody week to go.

Look, it's not draft tampering because he has to have the AFL sign off on that delisting. Therefore, if they do it's not draft tampering.

He honestly believes he had done nothing wrong. He is only looking for his own natural justice and natural justice for him would be to become a swan.

I think the only way he will get to the swans will be via the PSD and he will almost have to place a price on his head, GWS are unwilling to touch. I don't feel the Swans will change their mind based on his personality or resent behaviours.

I just can't see Kurt putting a 4 year contract on his head and then risk going to GWS for 4 years. IMO he will nominate 2 and then go to Gold Coast.

I think he would love to go to the gold coast now but he will have to nominate 2 years minimum and sheeds will say thankyou very much with pick #1 at the PS draft, sheeds and GWS will enjoy the publicity but not as much as the AFL.

Leaks do matter, because they damage the reputation of the party that you are leaking against. Also it is only one side that gets their information out so it can be skewed to fit your agenda.

Again, seriously though, I think you guys are very (too?) tolerant. Its not about having an opinion, its the bullying-like way they express it - with some stand-out exceptions as ive said before. We'd seriously 'chat' anyone in our workplace who pursued another employee the way some of the Sydney posters have pursued ('abused'?) us over the last few days. And yes i do think the standards should be the same. But I suppose that's why you're a moderator and I'm not.

Unfortunately if we were to start carding people for expressing their views in an aggressive manner, we'd have no forum left It's about how far over the line someone treads. Believe me, some people have stepped over too far and have been infracted as a result.

It's one of those annoying parts of the internet, where everyone wants to talk a big game just because they can get away with it. Never quite understood it myself.

Fair enough Stabby. I take your point and yes anonymous behaviour is one of the problems of the internet. I still think that some other club supporters could learn to post reasonably and respectfully on other clubs boards, take no for an answer and not behave like backyard bullies in someone else's backyard. If I can do it so can they - and I have an offer of a Port membership to prove it! (Sadly I had to say no, committed as I am to my first love!)

Exactly. We offered him a contract. We didn't want to delist him. Why should he be able to walk to wherever he choses. It's the league's process,The same for anyone, it isn't penalising him.

As for Ralph, what does he expect the Crows to say, "ahhh, the kids that were left are moos, so we just picked these two anyway. we aren't that excited about their prospects but we have to fill the list"?

No bjn, you just happen to notice. I happened to notice late last night that my post had gone. I think it would be too onerous to expect/ask voluntary Mods to contact the poster and discuss each time a post is deleted.

Nope, must have a full compliment of players. So if we land tippett I expect us to pick up 3 rookies. Also fwiw we have enough cap 1st year of there is a problem then it'd be 2014 onwards
