The facts are we're ****ed and our reputation is in tatters. The autopsy will occur next Friday.

For those saying wait for the facts... the bomb has already gone off and exploded in our face. Now we're just waiting to see if there are any aftershocks.

What we know is that we're guilty. We just are waiting to find out the number and severity of indiscretions.

Trigg's biggest ace up the sleeve is if the Board are as culpable as he is and, hopefully for his sake, gutless.

But thats the point. If you had a need to create a pre nup you would. But in the first instance, you'd be in love and couldn't possibly imagine your wife being unfaithful to you. You've spent your lives together building up your little empire. It's not until the pool boy comes along and does the deed, and they then try to extort $5m out of you or she'll fleece you for everything you are worth that you think - ****, wish I had a pre nup!

Why is the club not distancing itself from Trigg and Harper? And Reid. We should be throwing them under the bus.

We should be going with the line that the Board were unaware of any misdeeds and that it was simply the actions of Reid and Trigg behind the scenes that caused this. Renegades. Dirty. Acting without consent. The Board was unaware until Black Friday and notified the AFL within hours...

Instead we're going with a "we're all in it together" approach, even going as far as the club offering to cop a pre-emptive punishment.

We should be going hard with: The club is innocent, some individuals are guilty. Whatever it takes to minimise the impact on the club. If that means torching some loyal servants then so be it. The club is bigger than the individual. We should hang them out to dry and try to pin as much as possible on them.

Given that we're not doing this... does that mean that Trigg/Harper have proof that the Board knew? Eg we can't distance ourselves from the issue because Trigg/Harper will blow the whistle on us. Or does it mean that the Boys Club is more important to our Board than the health of the club?

We applied penalties to ourselves, after lengthy talks with the AFL.

Maybe we just thought there were no good players in this draft and wouldn't have used pick 20 anyway?

You know whats great for a clubs culture and long term success, happy employees who know at any point if shit hits the fan the club doesnt give a shit about you and will throw you under a bus :rolleyes:

Carl you took 3 dots and painted the sydney harbour bridge.

Im not claiming everyone at the AFC is innocent or that the guilty parties shouldnt face penalties... i just realise that there are several ways to interpret the information presented by the media, even if you assume everything reported is true.

We have been prevented from trading or delisting Tippett. We sat out our first 2 picks in this years draft. We have engaged Edwardson QC et al to prepare our case and there is a commission hearing on friday. those are the facts. everything from there is based on assumptions, media reports, rumours and guessing.

If thats enough for you to convict i hope you never sit in a jury box.
