It's been said before, but we're not intending to close this thread. If people still have something to talk about, they will. If not, it will die a natural death.
are you saying we can return to the free for all?

I had a pasty the other day, was tasty...because it wasn't Balfours

So Tippett had signed a 4-year deal with the Swans prior to all this happening. Now he's specified 2-years in his PSD specs. Does that mean he has a gentleman's agreement with Sydney for
years 3-4?

best karma would be for sydney swans and tippo to be investigated re something like the above and for talking mid year and then sydney being penalized and tippo suspended for last half of the season.
However i would settle for a career ending concussion plus sydney losing their cost of living allowance in its current form.
......perhaps another good penalty would be tippo marking in the square grand final siren goes needs a goal to win and he misses....

OK I'll try again to see if I can a sensible answer from the BF brains trust. Previous responders need not reply.

Does anyone know what it would take for a half year suspension to revert to a whole year suspension? What would have to happen, court cases aside?

Or is it such uncharted territory we don't know? :)

This would be a just result. Both deserve it.

Any furhter breach of AFL rules or regulations or any breach of the conditions of the ban. Eg contacting any person involved with the AFC in any manner and in any capacity. So a text to Sando after a game saying well done, would be a breach.

Well actually they don't.

In the end , I think I read it will work out to be something like $650,000 a year. $1,300,000 over 2 years. Very similar to what he was ion with us.

I think it was $950,000 for year one, to get to Sydney and then $350,000-$400,000 for year 2. Then they will renegotiate a salary.
$1.3M over one and a half years is pretty close to $900k

Thanks Jars - appreciated. Makes sense. Wasn't aware of the t's and c's of his ban. :)

pfft bloods culture...

i've been saying since 2005, the bloods culture only applies when it's convenient. look at nick davis, who is widely regarded as one of the biggest tossers to have played afl

it's been a pleasure everyone. the t-shirts are being printed as we speak

Assuming of course he plays every game once the suspension has ended. Odds are he will need some reserves games to get him up to match fitness. How many? Who knows? So maybe they'll get just 10 games from him in year one. what if he gets injured? Overs if you ask me. Serves them right.

There is some comfort the deal is about a third of what it was reported to be if he was traded. He has significantly less security now and will have to deal with his performance being reviewed in 2 years time.

Not many wins in this saga but that's something

Nick Davis was delisted because of the bloods culture...

not before you got a premiership out of him

hence, why it's convenient..

Kurt and Sydney will very quietly sign a contract extension for an extra two years in the next couple of weeks, if his manager is not to busy. There will be no publicity.

His manager is very likely to be de registered by the AFLPA. Pretty sure that counts as busy :p
