it's a fairly safe bet to say that M.Clarke will be the next aussie to play 100 tests (next summer during the ashes, all going well).
but who after that?
mr cricket is retiring after playing 79 consectitive tests after the age of 30 - great effort !
next on the list is johnson who is playing his 50th in sydney. this will take until early 2017 at best. he'd be 35 by then and the only quicks who have been playing test cricket at that age in recent times in lillee and mcgrath. also, if the rotation of the bowlers continues that will make it harder.
next on the list is haddin. i won't even entertain that idea.
next on the list is watson. he's 31 and with his ongoing injuries, i don't give him a chance.
next on the list is siddle. again, he is up against it and history says no.
no other current aussie has played more than 30 tests.
best bets for me are:
warner , aged 26 - 15 tests
wade, aged 25 - 9 tests
hughes, aged 24 - 20 tests
or someone yet to play test cricket
who's ya tip fella's ?
