Aaron Finch

I know what you are all thinking, "Has DeeWong gone mad!?" Well, hear me out.

Although he is an average FC player, Finch's form in the BBL and Ryobi-Cup has been compelling. So much so the selectors have tolerated a string of starts, without going on to make the big scores.

In his 2 centuries this year, he showed everyone he isn't just all brute force. Finch demonstrated maturity, vigour and determination to build and innings of which he could slog off at the death. He is being groomed to be a key player in Australia's assault on the 2015 World Cup and I'm sure it won't be too long that he is considered for test level.

Furthermore, openers are a dime a dozen. I couldn't have afforded to pass on Aaron with this pick.

So, his addition makes the top order even more exciting.

But default stats eliminates any doubt. For eg, a young quick may have only played a handful of games and may have an inaccurate average of 16 whilst a seasoned, more accomplished bowler may only be at 25

Ok but what about this; what if someone chose North and White who have batted well in the past but have been spudding it up recently. They both have inflated averages of 40.

Or a more relevant example of someone being past his prime; Katich.

Careers are more important, and more accurate. It makes sense.

Also, I propose I should be able to pick considering MG MG hasn't taken his pick for the previous round

I'm for either options. Neither phases me tbh, but I do think real stats has a few more problems than the default ones that's all. I say go ahead, he should have left his picks with someone if he was going off for a period.
