Perhaps, though I believe ASADA can appeal if they feel the penalty is insufficient...
Please god let it be Daniel Jackson. So which Richmond player has played his last AFL game?
Heard he,s taking over as Buddy,s manager.Cameron is quitting Richmond to take up a horse racing industry position?
That's just the way he talks. Always hedging.Interesting to hear Gill McLachlan say today that "at this stage" season 2013 will proceed as normal. Read what you like into that...
Reimers?Fairly sure that GMc said that player x was not on an AFL list in 2013.
No ASADA has no say re illicit drugs, only performance enhancing. The Illicit drug program is run by the AFL.
At best the crime commission can refer info to the police for criminal investigation and charges could arise which would bring in an external body that could impose external penalties.
Expect the clubs involved to get together with the AFL to throw a few bones at the media and politicians and thats about it.
any 2012 bombers now with other clubs?
No way it's Monfies. Would faint at the sight of a needle like he does at the sight of a defender.God I hope its not Monfries. Would be a kick in the guts to lose him when Ports done nothing wrong.
And this just in on the AFL website.

Essendon are gone. The AFL has basically all but admitted now Essendon were administering WADA prohibited PIEDs to most of their players. What we do know is it is illegal and has a mandatory 2 year suspension from WADA and that ignorance is no excuse. The fact the players did not know they were taking these drugs is irrelevant.
This is out of the AFL's hands now. Essendon are in all sorts of trouble just like Gerard Healy said the other day when he said ""From what I have seen, it could not look any worse for Essendon.
I hope WADA do something soon and start handing out the punishments.
The word doping gets over rated in all this. We're not talking anabolic steroids, just peptides, which are pretty low effect and barely even worth it.
But still, in all likelihood the lone player was either coming back from a muscle related injury or was a fringe player

Unfortunately doesn't matter if someone forces them down your throat with a gun to your head, if you play with having taking them you have had an unfair advantage over the fair. It's tough, but it makes sense.Something that is being overlooked in all the hysteria.
We are talking the lowest end of banned substances and given to players without their knowledge. The alleged situation just defies common sense.

ALL OF THEM. INSTANTLY. WITHOUT HESITATION.How many clubs sack their sports science guy on the basis he "may" and "possibly" was doing naughty stuff.
You don't sack people unless you have some pretty damn solid proof otherwise you are open to all sorts of unfair dismissal claims.
