"A" journalist?

What I heard on 3aw the night of the Essendon PC indicated just about every sports reporter in Melbourne was asking questions. Gerard Healy said he reported it to the AFL 12 months ago!

The truth is the AFL & Essendon both knew about this during last season. The AFL being briefed by the ACC meant they and Essendon were panicked into a PR exercise to cover their lies.

i.e. Had there not been a criminal investigation on the radar, the AFL were prepared to let another 'maximising revenue' club get away with cheating. This time drug cheating.

The AFL are as culpable as anyone at Essendon.

lol.

I think Elvis was doing the investigation and after he orchestrated the fake moon landing he's moved onto a much more challenging role in covering up the AFL and Essendon drug fiasco.

You ain't nothing but a hound dog Jeff.

I think the big question that needs to be asked is what happened to UtG?!
He is apparently a lawyer who was retained by a client in a matter pertaining to the case and, as such, is not permitted to discuss the case. He said this way back in the first or 2nd thread and it was corroborated by another member.

The club hasn't been informed yet. Demetriou doesn't think they're allowed to despite being given permission by the ACC, it's bizarre.
Could this be because the player has either changed clubs since the alleged incident or retired and they need to clarify which club(s) can or should be informed?

If his bigfooty strike rate is anything to go by i'm sure he'll do his client proud.

Wait... he is somehow involved in this saga? Good ****ing luck to anyone associated with Essendon if he happens to be representing them.

This thread's just getting sad. It's gone from "Essendon are guilty, stop denying it" to "Yeah, well why were your coaches taking anything anyway huh? HUH?"

Let it go guys.

We'll let it go when your CEO and anyone else behind this is let go.

Actually, no. Keep them. If this is an example of 'good corporate governance' the next few years should be quite amusing.

Behind what exactly? A legal supplement program?

SACK. EVERYBODY.

the media conspiracy to take down the bombers?
More an example of the incompetent media we have rather than any conspiracy, but whatever tickles your fancy.

They sensed a chance for blood, leapt on any small rumour that could be twisted to suit their agenda and went hard at it. Same would've been done for any club.

at any rate, who calls ASADA down to say "hey... come and look at my legal supplement program"?

Someone who hears the bloke running it is being investigated and wants to make sure the supplement program he ran was in fact legal.

Couldnt they just get the club doctor to check that?
Guessing a bloke like Doc Reid might not have the technology on hand to test substances for legality and what's in them etc.

I'm into complete guessing territory here by the way. I'm not claiming to have any secret source or anything.

But ASADA was already doing random testing as a matter of course.
These pedpite things don't show up in drug tests, according to 7.30 last night. So I'm guessing it was "Here's what he gave our guys, was there any pedpites in it?".

I'm sure if there was a problem and there was evidence left behind they would have the results back by now.

don't think there would be evidence left behind though.

"honestly.... its not mine"
