Joe did a PS with us for parts last year.

Do we really know hes safe?

He wasn't under the club umbrella though. So not sure he can be treated by our doctors. He was training with us, and no doubt they gave him an outline of dietary intake. Wouldn't be much more though I'd imagine

His "training program" was pretty much lifting weights with Skipworth before school, IIRC.

Doubt we have much to worry about with him.
Was the training located at a secret off site location though? And was he there against his will as was the case with Reimo at every preseason session he ever attended?

It's believed that young Father-Son draftee, Joe Daniher, was forced to lift weights at gun point by club officials. At the conclusion of each session, Daniher was stabbed in the leg with what is believed to be a combination of steroids and disease, and then instructed to sign a document that confirmed that he agreed to everything that transpired.

James Hird is said to have been present in these sessions, along with The Weapon and The Chemist, who all gathered in a dark corner shouting taunts and laughing manically.

Was this a quote from last night's episode of Footy Classified ?

halfway through last year Joe dared to question Hird whether it was absolutely necessary to be whipped, kicked and tear-gassed while he trained....... to which Hird screamed back at him "dare to question me son and you'll play one senior game this year.... against the Suns".

definitely, how else could he mark the ball at its highest point?

Yes, I'm aware it's an old joke

It won't ever get old because the likes of David King, Brad Johnson and Liam Pickering will keep harping on about it all year.

Reading too much into it, but... plus the all-stars game Jetta has been getting a fair amount of midfield minutes...

A number of Essendon's young stars showed what they have to offer during an intense intra club training session at the club’s High Performance Centre this morning.

The Bombers have this weekend off from the NAB Cup competition with the match simulation in warm and humid conditions a perfect hit out to continue the teams preparation for the start of the home and away season.

Recruit Martin Gleeson, who played against Collingwood last Friday night in round one of the NAB Cup, was very impressive collecting plenty of the ball across the half forward line.

Gleeson showed his class and poise when using the footy managing to slot a few goals from set shots.

Also impressive up forward was first round recruit Joe Daniher who slotted a bag of goals to go with his 12 marks.

Daniher is expected to make his debut in the red and black next weekend against Richmond in Wangaratta and his performance today would have done nothing to hinder his chances.

Dyson Heppell played the majority of the match through the midfield as well as floating across halfback as he racked up the possessions and provided great delivery to key forwards Daniher and Crameri.

Live wire Leroy Jetta was also important in providing quality football into the forward line as his evasive skills were on full display and at their finest.

Once again mature aged recruit Nick Kommer showed he is ready to match it with the big boys in further positive news for the Bombers coaching staff.

Essendon’s next NAB Cup game takes place on Saturday March 2 against Richmond at Wangaratta Showgrounds
