The eliminated teams are coming back for a challenge.

Eliminated contestants from My Kitchen Rules (MKR) will be back in the hot seat next Sunday when the Seven Network ratings hit attempts to take on The Voice.
The second season of the Nine Network's reality talent show launches before The Logies and Seven is hoping to draw viewers away by giving the ousted competitors a chance to regain a place in the MKR finals.
Seven says the teams to take on the challenge in the first two-hour special will be Tasmania's Ali and Samuel, Angela and Melina from Victoria, West Australian food geeks Kieran and Nastassia and the father-and-son Tasmanian team Mick and Matt.

I think that's a good idea. A way for the eliminated teams to redeem themselves. Hopefully this replaces the jury from last year, which was just too easily abused by the outed contestants.

They were allowed to cook whatever they wanted but each team had $10 each to buy ingredients with, which was ridiculous so they split them into 2 groups to go shopping so they could combine their cash and share ingredients. Of course asian moles just wanted to fill the trolley with asian ingredients and Josh ended up standing up to them. In they end it seemed like the girls got what they wanted because everyone else ended up doing asian dishes.

Yes but there's ads for chicken stock during the show so can't piss off the sponsors

The difference is it takes a significantly longer time to make a decent stock from scratch, compared to a curry paste.

Did think they harped on it a bit. With $10, thought it was a fair decision to make.
