I've gone set and forget in the rucks with the thinking that if Leuy performs well early in his first couple of games I might trade Jacobs down to Berger and then upgrade elsewhere. With Boyd going down though it meant I had an extra $100K spare then what I had budgeted for and with rookies the vest always has to be a concern or with Mitchell's poor foot skills he might be put into a Magner type role

Stevens JS should be solid at least in the short term, so a pretty good bottom priced mid price option you would think.

ATM 2 mid pricers - Embley & Lucas. 2 rooks - M Jones & Viney (may swap Jones to Omeara) but most likely Lucas > Omeara. I'm currently toying with starting an extra mid premo due to Danger, Fyfe & Embley's shit Rd1 scores. So might include one of ROK/McVeigh just for Rd1 as a place sitter for SJ who I would then move into the forwards and open up a DP link. I'm still undecided though...really depends on how many forward rookies are named...

I'm not 100% sold on the strategy TBH I'm only considering it due to Danger/Fyfe/Embley's sub par scores as a way of maximising Rd1 points. I've got more faith in one of ROK or McVeigh pulling out a Rd1 130+ score than any of the forward premos..

No, I never even considered him. Kudos to those who picked him though...looks to have decent JS after a pretty good first game.

Obviously having 8 non rookies in my mids can only be done if 5 Def rooks, 2-3 ruck rooks & 4 Fwd rooks are named. The forwards is the big question mark though.

But if 4 out of Stringer, McRae, Menzel, Macaffer, Rowe, Lee, B Kennedy, Dwyer, Other?...are named by any chance they'll will take up the last 4 spot in my forwards. To go with Bartel, Zork, Rocky and PattyK...if not I'll probably downgrade ROK/McVeigh to O'meara and slot Roo into my forwards.

Yep, exactly what I thought too. Bit strange, but then again Roughead got a DEF/FWD tag despite it being widely known that he's our (hopefully) permanent full back now.

I honestly don't know...Mrs G reckons he will...and she obviously knows her team quite well & is much better at DT than me...I'm just wanting a second opinion from another Dees supporter and Trav seems to know his side as well as Schulyzy knows how Port players are travelling ATM...reason I didn't ask a general question is because Trav has been following his teams pre-season much more closely than most of us neutrals have..
