Bloody impossible to get out of carpark at metricon, can't believe this, it is a debacle.

It's their only hope of exacting some revenge for tonights loss.

Defence; Who the hell lets players stream down through the back line straight in for a goal?! Especially when 3 on 2 in our favour!

Fade outs; Every time that we got out to a lead, on three occasions we got out to a 3-4 goal lead, only to have it pipped back to 3 points every time!

Heart failures; I blame the Lions for keeping it close.

Happy with the win. But can we please bring in some form NEAFL players instead of those who are just playing 'well'. This side is horrifically down on form, across the board. A few players with a winning mindset could change that.

Can't believe this thread hasn't had a workout yet tonight.
I have never felt so down after a win.
This side has some serious issues. That was really terrible footy against a pretty average team.
There some really good contributors, but geez some stupid footy.
Hardly inspires confidence to play anyone other than Melbourne and GWS.
That was rubbish.

We may have only one game since NAB GF, but Carlton have none - let's post joy for the 'a win is a win' and then work on the post match evaluations with a clearer head during the week.

The biggest thing this year that is annoying me is the umpiring and constant rule changes. It is something that is completely putting me off AFL. Whilst the lions aren't playing all that well, i am definitely more frustrated with how soft the rules are becoming then with how we are playing. More likely to get up out of my chair at the lack of umpiring consistency then one of our players turning it over.

Agree that the new rule interpretations are puzzling but I can't honestly say they cost us tonight as both teams were on the bad side of dubious decisions.

We seem to have several culprits in our Team that do not kick with their non dominant sides. Mainly left footers who have no right side?? Did anyone notice the times players went to the outside of their boots rather than kick on the non preferred? (This doesn't include Sauce who at least once a week shanks it out of bounds on the full with his left) but at least he's prepared to try!

I think Cousin Jed mentioned it during the game, but Golby and Yeo in the same backline is very worrying. My confidence in the two has slowly eroded game by game. Throw in Jed Adcock and to date, our small defenders have been shite so far this season.

By no means is he a saviour, but I thought Ryan Harwood was really composed and assured in our back six last year, not to mention his display for the ressies last week. You'd also have to think Sam Docherty will come into the mix next week.

Brilliant summary of the defence and it's probably time to give both youngsters a little rest to refocus and gain some confidence. They are long term players who look ready for a breather out of the pressure cooker.

Don't worry I broke a built in wardrobe, my computer desk and my family TV when we lost the grand final in 2004. I was about 9 or 10... I was an emotional one.
