That's not true. Everything means something, even if it's just a little bit.

Whatever the team Adelaide had out there that day, we would surely have gained just a little bit of confidence about playing there from having played so well there that day and when added to the fact that we pushed both teams right till the end there last season, I don't see it holding any big fears for us.

We came within a kick in both our games there last year and then won against Adelaide comfortably in the NAB Cup, so i don't think it will hold too many fears for us.

Taking out the NAB cup game, I thought we played horribly in our two games over there. In our game vs Adelaide we managed to stage a come back after playing shit for just about 3 quarters but too little too late.

I thought we played well for patches in our game against Adelaide, especially late, but also at times earlier, and that, after we let Port get out to a 4 goal to none lead early in our game against them, that we played fine after that, but they just played really well and were like dog with a bone and never let go of their lead. They were playing good footy at that point in time early in the season and it wasn't as terrible as made out that we lost to them that game.

I can verify that it is absolutely bucketing down here in Adelaide, and has been since about Friday, with little reprieve. The weather is going to stay wet until probably Saturday, and even then, it's not going to fine up enough to change a very soggy Football Park.



This game is getting more and more fascinating.

Currently fine in Adelaide, forecast is for partly cloudy tomorrow and mostly sunny on Sunday. AAMI drains very nicely so I would expect the surface to be in pretty good nick. It will depend on the wind, but I would expect no excuse for talls to struggle.

I take it Milne is 100% safe this week given that article that was just posted on the saints website.

Don't doubt that he's unlikely to be dropped (as opposed to rested). I'm sure the little intangibles (high energy / ADD, ability to kick early goals, great attitude towards the kids, well liked generally at the club) are rated internally. I probably don't consider as much of this, and am more focused with the on-field stuff.
