Ellis boat has sailed imo. Took Birch instead of a 200k Ellis that week. Kudos to those who got him in, would have made a huge difference to overalls.

I have a few options. Daw/Blicavs, Hartlett, Mayes and Evans are my issues. Thurlow comes in for Hartlett I think, Goodes/Vlaustin/Terlich should do okay. I'll have 400k in the bank if I do downgrade Hartlett.

Haha Birchall out? Sorry but I haven't read anything more ridiculous on this forum before and I've heard people say Gibbs is a better player than Cotchin.
With 2 trades per week I expect to see these sideways trades more often. Birchall will drop about $47k this weekend and will drop again $20-40k after next weekend.

Does anyone think I'm crazy keeping Hartlett? He's about 360k, it's almost not worth sideways trading him at that value. Gotta have a look at my options but I think I'll go Daisy > Thurgood (swing goodes into mids) and Evans or Mayes > super premo.

If I still had Hartlett I would trade to Ellis. Ellis will have a negative break even and obviously scoring well

IMO he's quality and you have to back your quality to perform eventually. If I trade him he's equally as likely to come out the next week and smash a good score (like Jacobs has done this week )

He'd wanna ****ing hurry up. Watched the prick smash centuries right up until I grabbed him. He's barely cracked a ton in the last 3 weeks combined. :p

Going to keep Hartlett if Gibbs is back next week. If all goes well, Neade/Mayes > Staker, Monfries > Stokes

Have you got a different Birchall that is scoring well and not leaking $?

Some premiums you just bite the bullet with and keep them through their price drops. People are very aggressively trading out under performing premiums and it's back firing on a lot (JPK, Dangerfield etc).

Birchall has already lost a lot of money so I don't see the point in trading him out. If I had him I would just be riding it out and not worrying about his price because he is a keeper imo. Each to their own though.

If fantfooty is correct i will have 3 or 4 k left to get rid of Hartless and jump off the Ollie train. Wish i had of got rid of Hartlett last week but these scores are just not good enough.

Hartless > Ellis
Wines > Franlin (Dwyer to DPP)

Just wondering, what average are you expecting out of Ellis?

If you were silly enough to jump on Birchall thinking he will score 100+ every week, you were slightly deluded. He averages 90 and really is nothing special. He also played GWS, he rested while playing like many others. Think Watson when Essendon played GWS.

I assume those who sideways traded Hartlett last week will do the same for Birchall. While the rest of the competition has upgraded/downgraded and trading in premos, you will be stuck with the practically the same team as two rounds ago.

I'm thinking Matt Stokes. Scoring consistently with some good minutes in the midfield.

Anyone care to play devil's advocate?
Very big fan of his, has proven in his career that he can find the ball. There is no one to move him out of the midfield meaning he should average 90s imo. Cheap compared to NRoo and SJ.

For those wanting to trade Ellis in, remember Conca, Tuck, Newman and Grimes are all to come back into that side. Ellis is currently playing Conca's role at the moment, will be interesting to see how he goes with those players back in. I assume he'll end up averaging 75-80ish by the year's end.

Im keep him
ATM my startegy s to upgrade my rookies first and then deal with under performing premiums
once i upgrade M Jones to Watson this week then i will have 3 rookies starting (goodes, vlas, terlich)

With some creative tinkering I've moved Rockliff to my forward line, moved Mayes to my mids, then traded Mayes, subbed Vlastuin to my mid, traded Mayes out for Thurlow and am now trading out Neade with $642,000 in the bank....if anyone who read this understood that my hats off to you

ellis tonned up vs gold coast last year, while averaging 58. he's v good in those open games vs terrible teams, he runs hard through the middle and always wants the ball. he's obviously fine to get in since he will make 100k even dropping 70s the next couple games but it's pretty funny if people think he will be an actual premium. westhoff sequel
