they are good sources right?
he's exactly what we need, just hope we also get a quality LB as well.

For stories about LFC, as far as newspapers go I only really trust those 2 and the Liverpool Echo. The others tend to go for a scattergun approach so they'll get stories right from time to time, but if those 3 are reporting that an offer has been made or a deal has been 'done' for a player then they're usually right.

Don't you have enough centre backs already?!
JT is pretty much finished, Luiz should be used in midfield, we can do better than Cahill and Ivanovic is had a really poor season that may continue.

Plus I have a Greek mate who reckons Papa is an absolute beast who will be the best CB in the world in the next 5 years if his dodgy knees hold up. And from everywhere else all I hear is good things about him.

Regardless of what they may have done before or what they may have brought to their new clubs from a marketing perspective, neither Shevchenko or Torres demonstrated on the field that they were worth even half of what was paid for them. Even worse for Shevchenko was that he was sent back on loan to Milan to try to recapture his form and scored 0 goals in 18 league games during his time there before he eventually left Chelsea on a free, so they didn't recoup any of their initial outlay as Liverpool have done with Carroll.

Torres wasn't much better and while he's scored 2 or 3 goals in important cup matches (as has Carroll), his form in the league could probably be looked at as a significant factor as to why Chelsea were as far behind United and City as they were this season. He's the weak link in that team and that's why people are tipping them for the title next season, with a half decent striker likely to come in over the summer there's no reason why they shouldn't be challenging at the top in 2013/14.

All 4 were pretty atrocious to be honest, this discussion is depressing me.

The only thing that would work against you would be how many experienced options you have at CB at the moment, players will look at that and think they won't be getting many opportunities. I wouldn't be too concerned though, no doubt if we do get him you'll be buying him from us for £30m in 5 years time anyway!

Chris Brunt from West Brom is out of contract isn't he?
I reckon he would be handy pick up for some clubs. Would Jermaine Pennant get another chance?

Torres has scored some important goals for Chelsea, sure the fee was excessive but I don't think he's been a total flop.
Yep, he's scored some huge goals for us. Plus the corner he won for Drogba to score from. He has been pretty handy even if he cost a fortune.

If Moutinho goes to Monaco I'll be pissed. Exactly what Spurs need in the Midfield.

Dortmund is a large step up from WBA!

You're right there I'm not sure he's good enough to get a regular gig with a team that good and already got the majority if not all pieces of their puzzle in place. I think he should go to a side playing in Europa like Everton or Swansea, both teams could do with Lukaku I think. If he wants to go closer to home he could go with a German or Belgian club.

All the talk so far is he's off to Swansea. Chelsea want him to be playing EPL football(Europa league will be a bonus).

Khedira would be amazing next to Ramires or Lampard in the pivot. Khedira holding the midfield with Ramires or Lampard pulling the extra strings in attack.

i dont rate khedira as highly as others but i rated garcia so i don't know shit about defensive mids.

interesting to read in the bbc column that marc munesia's contract runs out in june. could be a decent free signing for a mid table club, but i suspect he would stay in spain. bartra seems to have gone past him and barca will buy a cb or 2.

it's hard to see muniesa leaving on a free when pep rated him so highly. can't remember the exact quote (was in a magazine) but guardiola expected him to be a first team regular in the future. i think he would stay in spain too, can't see him in england with his frail body

Real seem to think Bale is worth 43m pounds this summer.... didn't the two clubs announce last year they have a "special relationship" now??
