Who's a stats man here?

What's the most goals a first gamer has scored?

12. A certain other Essendon champion full forward holds that record for another 30-odd hours.

I remember asking Paddy a few weeks ago if Joe was all he was hyped up to be.
'You bet' was the response with a big smile.

I'm a little excited about this.

Wires strung across the Melbourne Cricket Ground are the latest weapon to combat gatecrashing seagulls at sports matches, the cricket club has said.
By Friday night's Essendon and Carlton clash, the Melbourne Cricket Club will have strung nine parallel wires across from the northern to the southern stands in a desperate attempt to shift the pesky birds.
The wires will be 180 metre long and 35 metres high across the MCG – a little under half the height of the light towers and about the same height as Docklands Stadium ceiling. The trial is modelled on wires used at some golf courses and "water installations" but has not been used at sports stadiums before the club said.
In a statement, the MCC said it faced an ongoing fight against seagulls, feeling they caused "aesthetic concerns" for players, broadcasters and spectators.
The MCC said it hoped the wires would interrupt the seagulls' flight paths, deterring them from landing on the field in large numbers. It did not expect the wires to interrupt matches.
The MCC's attempts to bar seagulls from games started in 2008 and its communications manager Shane Brown said the list of options was "growing thin".
"Do we know if it will work? ," Mr Brown said. "No, we don't know, but we owe it to ourselves and to the people who watch the game to explore it," he said.
"They have shown to be very intelligent up to now and if anyone knows a spokesperson for the seagulls union we would be happy to talk about their needs," he said.
In 2011 and 2012, two wedge-tailed eagles, the natural predator of seagulls, were used to scare off the birds. The MCC needed a permit each time the eagles attended games and they were tethered to a handler.
Mr Brown said the MCC had been assured by its independent consultant that seagulls would not become tangled in or decapitated by the wires.
Bird behaviour expert Associate Professor Raoul Mulder, at the University of Melbourne's zoology department, raised doubts about the likelihood of seagull eviction.
He said it looked like a "desperate" move and nine wires did not seem enough to deter the gulls.
"The history of work in bird deterrence is littered with expensive failures," Professor Mulder said.
"Seagulls are very intelligent birds and I would be surprised if it worked, but all power to [the MCC] it if works," Professor Mulder said.
He said even if the seagulls did not gatecrash the game on Friday night, it might indicate a particularly cold night rather that the wires worked.

That was exactly the same thing we got from numerous players at the sponsors night. Except they didn't just leave it at that, I think they're nearly as excited as we are to see him!

Yes. I did undersell his reaction a bit, but the general belief is he's hot shit!

In as sub for when Hurls goes off early with his fortnightly ankle

Hell no,what a stupid idea to have a KPP as a sub! You have a quick player, especially in the wet, so a Colyer would be a perfect sub.
