Where is the captains thread? You lazy ****s.

Out of Johnson, Gaz and Swan for me. Tough decision, but I'm thinking I may go with SJ v GWS (scored 150 on them last time).

Such a tough call.

All three are such great options. Going to go with Gaz over SJ, although I'm really unsure about it. I think Gaz's guaranteed 120 is what makes him so attractive. SJ could get 160, and I actually think he will score higher than Gaz, but I don't have the balls to take the risk.

Brent Stanton for this week.

Eight(?) 100's this year with three or four of those being 140+ (including last week). He got 160-odd against Carlton last year, I have high expectations.

ablett for mine. Not sure how you can say no to his recent form, regardless of sj and swan

****ed myself over last week picking SJ, not taking it off Gazza for the rest of the year.

Tempted to take the risk over the bye rounds to potentially make up some much needed ground.. Set on gaz because he is guaranteed a 120 for this week, but SJ against gws is very tempting. Geelong do not let up in easy win games so SJ could easily go 140+. Stanley held SJ well last week, but I don't think GWS will be able to lock down stevie to the extent of him scoring below 100.

it might mean absolutely nothing, but Swan and Ablett need to play next week, wheras Stevie J gets a rest. Maybe he will keep the foot down all day? Probably nothing but something so consider

the Roos gave up one ton last week, and were ruthless till the end, and now mckenna questions their ability to perform beyond qtr time, I can see Nth Melb belting the gold coast this week...

I've done it once, Watson vs GWS. That hurt.
Only time I have got it wrong was when I picked Stants and he got injured. He was still on 40odd at quarter time. It went well when I picked SJ last time, hopefully just as well this time.

Swan should really belt up on Melbourne and just rack up cheap kicks and is a guaranteed 110+, NM are the best at restricting DT points but then again Gaz is just Gaz

Nope haha, changed it back already :p I just can't take it off Gaz, he will have a massive game this week along the rest of of boys to notch up another win for us! Guaranteed 130.

Why do people assume weak opposition means good score? It can be very hit and miss. Players can tend to slack off against a weaker opponent.

Having said that, SJ has a history of cashing in when Geelong wins big. :P

Anyone got a run down of how mids have performed against North this year? From face value, they're not a highly defensive unit so would expect Gaz to run riot.

I can see us belting them, and Gazza still scoring 140 :D

Taking the risk of SJ getting 150 or Stanton isn't really worth it I don't think. Ablett will get your 130 minimum and you might only gain an extra 20 points or so, but you take the huge risk of it backfiring and people gaining even more ground on you. Not worth it imo.

Gazza is just as likely to pump out a 150/160 even 170.

Going SJ. Ablett isn't immune to scoring sub 100's, or even 90's. Remember he did score 84 against Sydney in Round 2, coming off 135. I can't see SJ scoring under 120, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him notch up a 170. He LOVES beating up on the lesser sides when Geelong are thrashing them, and Geelong are going to absolutely thump them.

North are also the hardest side to score against. So IMO, SJ is the safe option this week. FWIW I think Gaz will score around 120 mark.

Trading Swan in this week and think Im gonna Capt him over GAJ. The chance to have Swanny vs Melb as a slightly unique captain choice is too good to pass up for me.

Collingwood need the percentage this week...

Swan V Melbourne...lock lock lock!!!
