LOL... umpires...
God it's pathetic.
Anyone ever noticed that the top sides don't lose games due to umpiring?
Must be coincidence.

Understandable. Made some good points. Especially the Hawthorn Docs/Runners wearing dark colours. Surely they should get fined for that?
being at the game i thought we were away...then you see an unfit individual scamper away from the ball. its poor, anyone not playing should be wearing drag to make it obvious they arent a player. What is the actual rule regarding this issue? I was at the game and it was clear as day the Carlton player kicked in the direction of the Hawks Doctor/Physio because he thought it was a teammate. Say what you want about vision, but when you have a split second to make a decision when under the pump kicking out of the backline, then you cannot say it was a poor kick/decision by the Carlton player.
Think about it, your team is in dark colours and opposition in light colours. You see a person in the distance with a dark top on and you kick to them.
I can understand why Malthouse would have been furious about it.
at the same time though, Carlton spent the 2nd halls appealing for frees rather then taking the game onas much as I like seeing carlton lose, the umpiring in the second half was *questionable*
I think carlton has to claim a couple of top 8 scalps before they can claim improvement under mick. Tonight's performance was of similar output in effort that Carlton have shown against Geelong and Collingwood in seasons past.I disagree, Carlton is twice the side under Mick it was under Ratten. They have a backbone.
All their losses have been by less than three goals. Against mostly top opposition. I think it's only doing his legacy favours the way he has transformed the team's gameplan and made them real contenders against all the bit clubs.
I appreciate the argument that Ratten had Carlton in finals before, but under Mick and the with the team experiencing another year under Mick's rule, I think they can be premiership contenders.
If it was part of a plan by the hawks then that's disgraceful.Intentional or not, the Hawks doctor was leading to the fat side twice tonight, and twice the lead was honoured.
Even my Hawthorn mates noticed and lol'd.
My post has nothing to do with how well Carlton are travelling. It is entirely to do with how Mick is travelling. Really poor form on his behalf. Too caught up in his own legacy methinks...I disagree, Carlton is twice the side under Mick it was under Ratten. They have a backbone.

He does have a point. Like the umpires colours, and then runners similar to the suns, surely this cant be a hard thing to get right. On the Ch 7 coverage, Malthouse was being interviewed by Richo in the rooms. After a amiable chat for a few minutes, Malthouse stiffened and unleashed on the fact the Hawks doctor was in blue, implying it resulted in two wayward kicks leading to turnovers.
He was livid. Stared a hole through Richo and when Richo cut him off, e kept going. Then when they finally did wrap it up, Malthouse ignored Richo's thank you and walked off. Richo was visibly taken aback by how angry Malthouse was.
Does he have a point? I love Mick, absolute legend and I loved the passion. Called it straight and spot on as usual.
Could have been a bit nicer to Richo though, Richo's a bit of a softie.
You don't have to be neutral, you just have to be sane to know this.
Which is worse? Imploding or Exploding?
