Bostock is one. Dawson. Reid. Routledge. And thats just the two clubs I mentioned.

Clear enough for you?

We paid Forest 8m for Reid and they threw in Dawson as change. It was less tapping up than protracted negotiation. Routledge I'll pay.

Of course Reid and Dawson refusing to sign new deals had nothing to do with Forest looking to get rid.

And I'm sure Spurs had nothing to do with that either.

Not sure where you're getting this information?

Are you referring to Reid rejecting Soton and waiting for Spurs to agree a price?

We paid them complete overs for both players (at the time). Dawson was completely off the radar at that stage after losing his U21's spot.

Redi and Dawson both knew where they were heading. Long before Spurs came to the table.

Forest also didn't want to sell Dawson. But they had to because he made it clear he wanted to move on.

As for the price you paid, irrelevant I would have thought. Unless you think Madrid should be able to tap up Bale if they pay above his true value.

Spurs were at the table the whole time. The only thing I can see here is Levy's usual posturing before he became famous for it and a couple of kids falling for his approaches.

Wish he'd shut up to be honest. If he wants a move just communicate it privately to the club like Cavani is doing with Napoli or Rooney with United etc, etc. It could be that he's trying to flush out interest that currently isn't there (keeping in mind there are very few clubs who could actually afford him, if none of those clubs come forward with an offer he'll have to stay), or that Madrid are instructing him to kick up a stink to make his position at the club untenable in the hope that we'll be more open to accepting whatever lowball offer they're going to come in with.

Either way I'd hope we stand firm and don't take a penny less than his market value, he has 4 years left on his contract after signing a 5 year extension this season (which to be honest contradicts the idea that he's desperately unhappy in England) so we don't have to worry about him losing value if we look to sell him next summer instead. I'd prefer to see him stay because for better or worse he is extremely entertaining and one of the best footballers in the league, but I wouldn't mind if we sold him so long as our valuation is met.

Im quite annoyed with him. He needs to shut his ****ing mouth. If the press ask him about the situation just tell them it will be handled in house and leave it at that. He just goes on an on about a situation he put himself him and then he puts pressure on the club to be professional and accept his wishes and all this shit.

I for once wish a club, obviously mine right now would just stand firm and say, you're under contract, you put yourself in this position with the press. Stay, play, be good and turn it around. But we all know the power resides with the players nowadays. He will whinge, Real will lowball us, we will have to accept.

Id be absolutely gutted if last January didnt happen. Coutinho in particular and Studge make it ok. We went well without him and his money will bring in some top talent.

@sbates_people do city know the recipient club of the hacked data?

Steve Bates ‏@sbates_people
@Dakeb_MCFCforum yes and so do #sundaypeople but for legal reasons unable to say as yet

David ‏@Dakeb_MCFCforum 8h
@sbates_people does it seem to be an independent hacker that later hawked the info, or instigated by the recipient club?

Steve Bates ‏@sbates_people 8h
@Dakeb_MCFCforum latter

David ‏@Dakeb_MCFCforum 8h
@sbates_people wow, that would be a serious and embarrassing allegation against them. Possibly criminal. I can't imagine it being a PL club.

Steve Bates ‏@sbates_people 8h
@Dakeb_MCFCforum it is

steve bates is the guy who wrote the article about our stuff being hacked. delicious little saga brewing

no idea, as mentioned earlier we've had scouts leave in bunches for a while now. would be amazed if anyone is actually stupid enough to do anything like this, but seemingly they are

in other news adam maher looks like going to ajax, apparently agreed terms on a 4 year deal, just the fee needs to be worked out. possible eriksen replacement.

Less when he hands in a transfer request.

Years on contract drives up the price via compensation which is eliminated when he requests to leave.

What happened with the Torres transfer then? Chelsea started out at 25 million and were laughed at. In the end they were forced to pay 50 million for him. This is how transfers generally play out for star players on long contracts. Bale will sell for about 60 million and Suarez about 45 million IMO.

The initial bid included Sturridge but Liverpool refused it. So they took Sturridge out and paid 50, which Liverpool used on Carrol.

Bale want to join Real Madrid but if he doesn't hand in a request its out of personal greed from not wanting to wave his loyalty bonuses.

How do you know this?

Bale probably does have ambitions to join Madrid but he is also happy at Spurs and willing to stay for one more shot at CL qualification. Selling Bale reduces Spurs' top 4 chances dramatically so any potential transfer fee would have to take this into account and the fact that Levy is ruthless guarantees Spurs will get 50 million worst case if they even decide to sell. They certainly won't be dropping their price because Bale wants to join Madrid.

Its public knowledge, how do you not know? Lol. His agent is on record saying so.

I really must have missed something, I don't recall Bale's agent coming out and saying this publicly. If so, would be very disrespectful to Spurs given his current contract situation. I know agents say all sorts of things publicly to earn their clients (and ultimately themselves) a sh*tload of $, so you have to take a lot of it with a grain of salt at times.

I think the agent came out and said that they would respectfully listen to any club that showed an interest in signing Bale.
