The biggest gap in football is Boomers pace when running at goal with the ball and when he is chasing an opposition player with the ball.

The other thing that annoys me is how many times he gives up an easy outlet pass.

But at the end of the day the guy is an offensive superstar.

I reckon one of Firrito or Grima has to go out as Hansen and Thompson are CHB/FB.
We don't need 4 bigger defenders back there. Either McMahon or Kennedy/C Delaney come in.

If Thomas is out it poses as interesting question as the like for like replacements are Harper or Garner who aren't in form. It may require our goal-kicking midfielders to rotate forward more. If Cunnington isn't ready I'd like to see either Jacobs or Gysberts come in.

Spud has to go, he will get destroyed against the tiggies, Cam has had two great games in a row, time for a crack, I'd have suggested Kennedy but have accepted he wont ever play under Scott. Garner didn't have a great game for NB, but we need a small forward with LT's suspension. If Cunnington can come back, I'd have him straight in and play him predominantly as a forward, he could definitely kick a bag.

Watched your game in its entirety, I agree, Gibson was effective, tough, and prolific.

I have a lot of time for spud as a person, but he turns 30 in November. Rawlings, Simpson and others were playing to a much higher standard as a 30+ player and could have gone on but they said we have the kids to take our spots.

If you are going to play poor football and drag it out until the bitter end then imo it detracts from what is a good legacy. He should go out on a high imo, that high isn't going to be a flag, the only thing it could be is him turning his bad form into a positive by making the club wont do out of loyalty.

He has had a tendancy to be quite ineffectual with his disposal while playing a predominantly outside role. The last few weeks he has played a more balanced game and has been cleaner.

Gibbo to stay in, silly to suggest otherwise. If LT is out then bring in cunners if he is right ( feel for what he is going through) and move boomer up as a full time forward. I called for spud to be go e in this thread already but on consideration would only change him for experience this week while we have a slim chance which means McMahon. Scotty M has had a couple of weeks off so may be carrying a couple of KGs extra which could be a worry.

Was thinking the same. He has the ability and strength to play down back just in case Martin wanders forward.

Ah, gotcha. I thought it was a rhetorical question. I don't read the game day threads, just remembered you saying it earlier in the week.

Hine could be in trouble if Loose is fit. His kicking is poor. I was hoping to see him used more as a midfield tagger rather than a small defender.

Levi for Cunners is pretty straight forward if Ben10 is ready. Levi was poor today and we need the right inside/outside balance. Pushing Basti back into a full time wing role to accommodate Levi would annoy me.

Wouldn't read too much into JMac and Grima being vested today. They'll both play a full game next week.
