I can't add up what's in the public domain at the moment without coming to the conclusion that the situation is very grim indeed for Essendon. They may yet be cleared, but I am having a harder and harder time seeing from what quarter redemption will arrive.

The hallmarks all seem terrible. When Whateley announced a week ago that his information was that AOD-9604 had been inadvertently cleared by ASADA and that no infractions had been received, I had been very much taken aback. But everything from thursday night onward has just been a cavalcade of body-blows.

I just get the feeling that something has broken here.

You would think that it would be the EFC supporters who would be going off their heads that players were subjected to this when they put full trust in the club, but apparently Hird is more valuable than your entire playing list.

By the same token, how will you react if your players get some complications in future because they trusted their coach, especially after you put Hird before all of them?

If Evans was such an innocent by-stander in this whole sordid mess as claimed by so many, then why was he attending briefings on AOD??

No doubt he wasn't the instigator (HIRD), but in no way did he not have a clue about what was taking place re: supplements program.

I think dons fans need to prepare themselves for the worst. Whether ASADA gave them dud info or not( and I don't believe they did as I reckon the bombers inferred something incorrectly), WADA 'wont' care. Paraphrasing- 'If you go on the field against opponents with an unfair advantage then you will get an infraction'. Even if ASADA understand the error and adjust the penalties accordingly, ie none, WADA will appeal the decision. AOD 9604 has been banned from jan 11. Its as simple as this and there are other drugs as well.

This is unfair from a view that info was incorrect, but it simply is what WADA will do.

firstly, and I know this is hard for you to understand, but WAIT AND SEE what was done first.
And don't give me that 'we are enraged that they have given your players...blah blah blah. You, like most people, are more interested into sinking the boots in

Hird still plugs away with his team inside the top 4 as if nothing is going on.

Best outcome will be for all sides who played the Dons to get the 4 points regardless of actual results...especially as the Pies play them twice and they already beat us once.
