Just to reclaim some cred, I saw some Clowns of Decadence videos on youtube last week not knowing they reformed for some gigs last year. I remember seeing them at Lennies and a few other places back in the day, either shortly before I was legal age or just after. Have very vague memories of swapping recreational substances with them to spread some extra cheer too.

I can't remember that one but one of their songs was bsed on the morphology of the Cooper Basin which was part of the lead singer's Phd thesis. He is also a mad Port supporter.

Purple Vulture Shit - One of the "Beulah Road" bands of the early 80's. Chris Cashel still records and occasionally performs as 'Raw Sex'.

The very, VERY early incarnation of Clowns Of Decadence wasn't all that bad. Played post hardcore in a similar vain to post-hardcore DC/Dischord bands. Once the make-up went on and they became a funk band they just didn't do it for me. Evolved out of Festered Vestoons who evolved out of the Mutants. Festered Vestoons were amazing.

Went to a lot of bands in the 80's. Don't remember what they were like as was suffering from short term memory loss on those nights. Recall bands of the time. Mad Turks from Istanbul, Lounge room lizards, Speckled Grunters.
