They're offering Thomas a very sizeable deal. Plus with Gibbs coming out of contract next year, they need cap space. Their list manager also said that they "It's a lot more money than we're offering. Eddie's got to fit in to the pay scales we've got at the club."

It's obviously not a foregone conclusion, but it's leaning that way.

Being generous to Bode there. He had a crack but his best season in terms of goalkicking was 32. He was a rich man's Petrenko.

We haven't had a proper small forward since Vardy.
 
Mrs EB may be pleasantly surprised by Adelaide and the Club if she just keeps an open mind. Hope so.

My old friend who leaves to go home to Vic today has had eyes seriously opened to the best kept secret in the country - not that we want everyone to know. ;)
 
Great news to get Eddie!...didn't come cheap but we really need a quality player like him. Just have to hope that Tex and Jenkins can get back early and firing...a bit worried about how long they may take from serious injuries....what about chasing someone like Posiadly just in case,on a 1 + 1 deal....wouldn't be expensive you would think?

Carlton won't get much service from Thomas. His ankle is rooted by all accounts.

He is the small forward we have craved for the whole of our Club's existence. This COULD be a big a move as Darren Jarman. Very excited.

Eddie's biggest problem will be the delivery from Danger, Sloan and Polec will be so good it will never fall out of tex's big mits!
