We all hoped for a greater output from Varcoe, but given his age we would have hoped he would be a full time midfielder by now. Most likely he will spend the rest of his career as a flanker. After all of his injury issues,how many seasons has he effectivly missed, how many pre-seasons has he completed. His lack of form this year almost tips the scale for me. I have no preference towards keeping him or trading him for a first round pick or Taylor Adams. At his best I love how he plays, I just doubt whether he will get back to his peak

I completely disagree. Billie Smedts entered the system as a line-breaking defender, and has since been groomed as a permanent forward. I believe Murdoch has well and truly shown enough to suggest that he can excel in the role when given the chance to do so.

Varcoe to Port for Pick 13 (or Varcoe and our third rounder)

That leaves us with 13, 15, and 34(ish).

I'd say 13 or 15 + 34 should get it done.

Except Port are into Polec and Brisbane will probably look for Port's first pick as Polec can still live off that dirty word "potential".

That might be so, but what worries me was Scott's presser - in no way would they hold him accountable, they'd all get around him. Now I don't expect any coach to say the stupid feck lost us the game, but how many times did we all get anything approaching readable truth from CS or Balme?

They fell on their own sword, trying to play in a goat with problems (confidential - people to get hurt) and to me it's not about if he's lost it, or even had it. Lack of clarity- there's something rotten in Denmark. Or that may be Renmark.
Stupid selection decisions and media calls (add Corey, Hawkins, Murdoch) all year.

How about treating us with a bit of honesty next year, for a start get Tomahawk some OS specialists?

What makes you think GWS want more picks. I doubt the will want multiple picks , they really want players. They have 1,9,19,35 an I'm not sure they will even use 35.

Let me throw this out there. Long shot I know but anyway.

15 to GC for 18 & 23 , willing to talk about icing if the want.

Varcoe and 18 , 23 to Crows for Couch. (They would hate to give him away but they want to trade in to the draft)
West and Henderson (or a player thats agreeable) to GWS for Adams

Im sure there is an infinite amount of variations on trades

I really like the idea of 15 for 18 & 23 - However, I'd prefer if we were trading Varcoe to Port and ended up with 13 if we were planning on getting rid of 15. Not sure how we'd snare Adams if that happened though. GWS might trade some of their other picks for players and then be happy to accept picks from us?

Neither am I,..... if he was 185+cm not 179cm I'd be happier, but his numbers relative to his inexperience present a potential at least equal or better than Caddy when he arrived, he's got talent.

Neddy1....don't worry no one listens to me anyway, except the GFC. But I'm sure Travis can benefit developing lists as the Giants with his experience and outside savvy, was just not coming good for our needs at the present.

Chappy should have played against the Hawks not Trav, we should have played off, Balme was responsible for that imo.

What evidence do you have that the GFC listens to you (and it better be good, because the mere claim scared the f**k out of me).
What outside savvy has Varcoe ever had, except the savvy to run outside the play?
How was Balme responsible for Chapman getting pinched?

Read Needy 1 and then take your prozac.

Balme stated on SEN Chappy was lucky to get the vest after the prior week getting 26disposals and 2 goals in his first game back, and that was for his 250th appearance, what a damn insult that was!
After continually being ignored for weeks at VFL level this was what Balme said after a fantastic first game back.
Then the subs vest thing, Vardy goes off Chappy 11 disposals in 15 mins, saves the game against Brisbane 3 times a goal a smother and a touched point.
Doesn't play vs the Hawks,...through all this Varcoe does!

A women rang Balme on SEN yesterday for an apology, Balme had spoken to her daughter rudely after she asked why Chappy?...Among other things he said, "so you're in that camp hey"!
Balme must have remembered and did apologised, now, what do you make of Balme?
Big body big head and not that smart.
