All opinions. Chunky we clearly disagree and that's fine. My views are clearly a minority on here but it certainly isn't a troll. We all see things differently and I think this cricket particular cricket team is showing poor humility. I don't particulqry care where someone is from when it comes to people or sportsman. Am I unaustralian because Brian Lara was my favourite ever player ? because I like rafa more then Hewitt ? What does it make me wanting Australia to get italy or England in the world cup and destroying them ? This is purely my thoughts on this particular side.

Out of interest, how do you think the side should have conducted itself and celebrated the win?

Botham predicts 5-0 to England before the first test, the English press write off Australia and Johnson gets sledged constantly by the Barmy Army ( see for example this Tshirt

and Australia are considered the bad winners:eek:

It actually seems like the OP hates the very thought of competition itself.

The Aussies have been fine, what happens on the field stays on the field evidenced by our boys spending 3 odd hours drinking and chatting in the rooms afterwards which by all accounts had a fantastic and jovial atmosphere.

Even actual English supporters aren't as offended at roy boys is. Winners are grinners and the team can act as arrogant as they like as far as I'm concerned (not that I think they have been) as long as they ground themselves before the next series. Carrying hubris into the next series is never on.

I could never personally go for a side no matter what country they were from containing Clarke, Watson, Warner and Johnson.
Ok so it's more you just personally don't like a few of the players and therefore it wouldn't matter what they did you could not 'ever go for a side containing them.' Just piss off please.

Yes, agreed. I havent seen any evidence of hubris. A lot of relief & deserved self satisfaction at a professional job well done. They should be very proud of the reversal of the outcome of the last winter ashes tour.
I like the attitude they have developed whereby they talk about the team & the unit. That sounds like a healthy professional culture to me.
I think the public like & appreciate that sort of positive culture.

Ron boys, are you seriously suggesting that the English team was mentally shot BEFORE they came here hence the performances?

Those photos with the faux urn look like a bunch of kids having fun.

Anyway, I've never seen anything as arrogant and as nose-thumbing at another team as the sprinkler dance at the MCG led by Swann.

If a winning Aussie team did that at Lords, you'd never, ever hear the end of it.

That's why I'm hoping if they do win at Lords next series, the Aussie team does something twice as crass.

Do you think they were fractured in England as well? They won 3-0 there. Their dressing room can't have suddenly just turned to shit at the beginning of the tour in Aus.

I did not see any arrogance. Just a cricket team hell bent on controlled aggression and being a tight unit. I'd love to see this continue.

All it did was paper over the cracks that were starting to appear.
