Essendon Black Ops Drug use sparks copycat rush

this is definitely Essendon's fault. Nothing to do with the wall to wall media coverage at all.

Boo Hird!!!
I noticed the phenomena last summer when walking down some of those high-street shopping strips in the summer, when the himbos have on tee-shirts, singlets and wife-beaters. Those physiques, as they say in cycling "= NOT NORMAL"

nuffin to do with windy hill

It is clear Hird, who lacks moral perception, and his enablers, the EFC / Hird inc , by their actions, are only exacerbating the unfortunate, real life consequences as outlined in this factual article.
EFC are a disgrace until they do the right and moral thing and distance themselves totally from the people that allowed this to happen.. not to further reward them. What disgusting hubris, bubble hill. Let's hope that boil can be Lanced

How I understood it, Weapon just used to get on the blower to Dank at times for chats. However Dank never had an "official" involvement at the cattery.

Robinson, who also worked at Geelong with Thompson, is understood to have attempted to introduce Dank to the Cats. He organised a meeting with Dank in Sydney that was attended by the Cats' senior football official Steve Hocking while Dank was working at NRL club Manly. Hocking is believed to have chosen, after that meeting, not to continue the association.

And what do you think I used the term unofficial.

Insert Essendon reference, win Walkley. Reminds me of this twitter exchange..

  1. Rohan Connolly@rohan_connolly
Cant understand why people think newspapers are struggling when second lead item currently on Herald-Sun website is "Man has piss on train".

@rohan_connolly if it was in the age and said essendon man ... It would win a Walkley
Oh man, you seriously brought Rohan Connolly into this? Do you have no shame?

But the organisational scale and audacity of the EFC program and it's effective endorsement from leadership/ management is unprecedented. I'm amazed they were able to keep it so hushed up for so long when so many were involved.

easy answer.

they aint unique, even if other teams champions are on the "outsourced" program.

this was the USSR and now Russia/China/Jamaica v the good ol free market boys of Australia/USA/UK

yeah even blackcat can engage in some nice hyperbole

While I agree with you that it's a stupid article, it does have something to do with Essendon in that these spikes occurred after the drug saga at Essendon broke. The title should have read something like "spike in mainstream PEDS after drugs in sport saga" but adding essendon to the title sells more copy I guess.
no no no.

the importation of roids and bio-similars from china and O/S have been growing exponentially over the last decade. Ask customs if you doubt me.

This is just an intersection/confluence of Windy Hill on the back of the PEDs and vanity drugs on our shores. It is like the youth industry in LA I tell ya

Not customs, but some refereces to the Age on this:

I'm not doubting it was a growing market anyway, but we have people in the industry telling us the figures spiked after this broke.

p'raps they did.

but i want to know why there was an exponential growth in the last decade. Some of the mid-30 something ABC tv reporters are even on this stuff. You look for no subcutaneous tissue on the face. but the tell is over the forehead, that is were you can recognise it. A regular jo blo from the street, walking around at about 14% bodyfat, a healthy is semi-sedentary existence, then their face leans up all of a sudden, and there is less tissue on the face. Remember that Ryan Maloney ("toadfish/toadie" on Neighbours) advertisement for Light n Easy, the home meal delivery company. I now know what he was on, three years later. Its pretty wide reaching when ABC tv reporters do this "supplement". And not even mentioning Charlie Pickering, Andrew Rochford and Chris Brown. ofcourse they are on it. I dont think Dave Hughes is tho, he was just running and vegan. but mid-aged crisis, yep, he was guilty of the M.A.C but not the vanity drugs.

:thumbsu:

this is post-prosperity.

JWH and Costello's GDP and current account surplus(es), we now move on to the superficial stage of development. (oxymoron implicit)

I wished to add,
this is why we had zero players, except sydney utility ryan O'Keefe, has called out any Essendon players, nor NRL players, nor is Finnis calling for more drugs tests.

In the words of Jan Ullrich, if you cant put two and two together... i cant help you.

remember, these are type A personalities, who never give an inch on Saturday. marry this with Game Theory ;)

Dank gotta pay those legal bills somehow.

Funds betting against US sub-prime loan derivatives actually helped increase the market for sub-prime loan derivatives.

Here I was going to the clinic to get some more Aids drugs and WTF they had run out. The reason?!? Due to the Essendon 'supplement' crisis and publicity, there's been a surge of people having unprotected sex in order to get Aids so they can get their hands on Thymosin Alpha and be like a footy player because that's the only Thymosin drug they took.

Who cares about the other 'banned' Thymosin, it's the legit version those b*stards at EFC used that are in effect literally killing me....!

I would rather be informed by experts and people who can back up their statements with facts and identifiable sources as per the Age story... Otherwise you just talking in circles. Blackcat, got any evidence for all these reporters being on the juice... Its a big call

Because you stretching and grasping for any and all excuses that you can to try and justify the situation the efc now find themselves in.

We are discussing the role of Robinson and Dank at a number of AFL/AFL clubs. Can't help you if you can't see this.

as a saints fan - i simply despise the 'media is picking on us' line.

i won't be a hypocrite.

there are plenty of saints fans who simply won't accept when a saints player stuffs up - they blame the media and say they are 'picked on'. they play the victim. its pathetic.

no different to bombers here.

the fact is - don't f*ck up. don't go down the risky path - and the media will have nothing to write about and will find someone else to 'pick on' - someone who has done something wrong.

don't go down the path and then claim u were picked on.

you don't see the media writing bad stories about lenny hayes and women - probably cos he did nothing wrong.

similarly you don't read stories about north melbourne taking tons of gear. probably cos they didn't take tons of gear.

bombers fans - stop whinging about the media and just face the facts that for 12 months you tried to cheat and took a ton of gear.

face it. accept it. face your punishment. move on.
