2nd encore of 2nd show. All 3 shows the 2nd encore has been Bruce solo acoustic, Thunder Road, This Hard Land and Thunder Road again. The band can't keep up with the old guy. ;)

paddy18 do you belt this one out on your guitar??

3 chords...probably the easiest Bruce song to play along with Incident. Harder to perfect that twang with the vocals though

Watch Bruce's face on the HR2 vid during the guitar solo..looks like he's in agony..it doesn't look like any fun at all.

It's fooking mesmerising.

This SC thing is freakin incredible.

Love how when Steve and Mos Def are centre stage, Bruce just goes off and sings through Nils' mic. Doesn't care about not having the spotlight.

Another show on early Sunday morning Oz time. This video of Sun City is superb quality both vision and sound and better than the one I posted previously.

Stevie's hair on TV isn't real - but surely his teeth aren't that white and perfect - gotta be dental assistance.

The stats from the 4 shows. I don't think we should worry about variety over his 11 Oz shows and 2 NZ shows.

He performed 27+27+30+(3+31) = 118 songs sung

It's Super Bowl time. And its finally being played in the Boss' back yard at the Meadowlands Stadium but he is touring SAF and Oz.

Bruno Mars is doing the show this year and said he is looking to Bruce for inspiration.

Bruno Mars looks to Bruce Springsteen for Super Bowl halftime show inspiration

Then there is this British music news site that rates its best 10 Super Bowl halftime shows. It ranks Bruce no. 2 behind Michael Jackson. I think that's fair enough as Jackson's performance in 1993 took the half time show to a completely different level compared to the usual university and high school marching bands, walt disney shows and dancing troupes doing the halftime shows. After Jacko did his show

2. Bruce Springsteen: Super Bowl XLIII
Bossing the Bowl

"I want you to step away from the guacamole dip! I want you to put the chicken finger down!" How had The Boss not played the Super Bowl before 2009? America's greatest blue collar hero was a match made in heaven for the sporting spectacle and boy did he deliver. From the shoulder-to-shoulder intro with his best buddy, the Big Man Clarence Clemons, to the specially adapted feelgood singalong of 'Glory Days', it was a dream setlist. Throw in a rampaging 'Born to Run' and you've got the makings of one of the greatest ever Halftime Shows.

I leave tomorrow. Oh good god what have I done.

I hope you have given yourself a bit of time if there is a plane delay.

Watched the 2nd half of the Super Bowl today and they had music from High Hopes album on the Fox coverage on ESPN when they came back from ad breaks. Think it was early in the last quarter and one of the commentators said something like we like giving a young New Jersey act a bit of a free plug.
