Round 7 AFL Fantasy and RDT Trades

RDT:

Dunstan/Ellis -> Hallahan
Langdon -> Hibberd

Obviously need to get Hallahan in. Besides Dunstan, my only other viable rookie trade is X.Ellis (my other mid rooks are Aish/Polec/Robertson). Not sure what to do. Will make more $ from the Dunstan trade, but Ellis is no guarantee to be back for round 8. Ellis has more money to make and could be valuable cover moving forward (if he can stay fit), but it will take a few rounds to get his low score out of the cycle

Alrighty:

RDT:

Langdon > Swallow
Ellis > Hallahan

Mitchell hopefully a very welcome addition back into my side. Willing to play four rookies in my mids still, will upgrade come round 9/10.

Fantasy:

Langdon > Honeychurch
Gleeson > Griff

Lets go.

Langford, Griffiths, Dunstan, Fasolo, Franklin, Hanley and Hickey are some of the popular selections named as out this week.

Also no Lennon or Honeychurch named.

Looks like my no trades this week has changed otherwise I cop a zero with Hickey gone.

Well that was a killer selection. I want to get rid of Griffiths, Tyson & Hunter........I can hold dunstan for a week with only concussion and Langford for a week. But if they are not named next week it will mean i need to keep Tyson. argghhh

I am thinking:
hunter > dahlous
griffiths > mitchell

but I really would prefer getting a premo in the middle.

Thoughts?

Ellis > Hallahan
Rohan > Honeychurch

Interested in peoples thoughts on bringing in Honeychurch despite not being named? To risky? Surely he is due for a game soon. The extra bit of cash will be handy over the bye rounds.

Hunter -> Lamb
Ellis -> Hallahan

Don't really have a choice with these trades with the byes coming up. Hunter has to go with a BE of 93 and the risk of a vest again this week. Lamb is going to make some quick cash and has scored well over the last couple of weeks. 150k cheaper than Wingard whose outputs have been similar so far this year. Wingard could go bang at any time, but willing to take a chance with Lamb to put the cash away for the bye rounds. 292k to help out over the next few weeks.

Stanton or barlow for dunstan ?

This trade all depends whether llyod doesnt get dropped out of the extended bench..

I had Barlow before he got injured, I will get him again. Personally I would give him 1 week back to make sure he is not eased in with the vest and he has missed a bit of footy so I doubt he would pump out a 130.

Barlow over Stanton definitely. But agree with this... He could be subbed out or might take a game or so to get back to where he was. I'm going to wait a week.

McEvoy v Lobbe.

Same bye. Thoughts anyone. Both seem very similar in output and both play in strong teams. Thinking Lobbe only because he has less backup and hence if Hawks don't need McEvoy he may be rested or subbed. However extra workload could lead to injury anyway.

in fantasy which option should i do?
1. trade out Griffiths and bring in someone like Rhyce Shaw but that leaves me with Sam Lloyd on the field.
or
2. trade in Jed Lamb for Rohan so Lloyd goes to my bench. This would mean that i would start Langdon and Kolojaznij in the backline.

Go McEvoy. Looks good and surly Hale will be rested before McEvoy

Just trading to get ready for byes. So... basically not posting them because if they were for anything else I'd say they would make me look terrible :(

RDT:

A lot of people trading in Hallahan but what's his job security like?

I've been pretty heavy on the trading early so I don't wanna burn another trade if he's likely to get dropped within the next couple weeks. On the flip side, a money making opportunity is always a good thing! Would be either Dunstan or X.Ellis to go out for him at this stage if I get him in.

Also, is it worth getting Billings in, even after one price rise? My forward reserves are pretty woeful in Impey and Ambrose. I also have S.Lloyd on the field so another decent rookie forward would be handy at the minute!

Hallahan looks pretty good and I think he will be in the side throughout the Bye rounds which is important! Not many rooks this year so gotta jump on em!
And yes, Billings looks good jump on!

so is it only the best 18 scores that are counted in fantasy over the bye rounds???
Yep best 18 mate! :)

Sorry if I got in too late but just got back! :)

Ended up going:

Impey-> Wingard
Hickey-> Lobbe

Wingards scoring hasn't been too flash but has been spending more time forward with Monfries out. His first 2 rounds with Monfries he tonned up in so I'm hoping for a good return.

The Lobbe selection is mainly based on how he finished last year and also his high scoring potential.

Not ideal to spend my banked up cash before the byes but I couldn't go into this round with both Taylor and Lloyd on the ground. Higgins is now my M6 when Franklin returns.
