What if we ran out of Dusty's pills though?![]()
We'll just pop over to Tullamarine and see what we can find in the bins after they finish training.

I take it you mean Jacko?
Today highlighted it but Dustin Martin is the blood that pumps thru this footy side.
Has been leading the way all year with his attacking run and ball movement. Takes risks, gets pinged occasionally, but takes it on anyway. Should be an inspiration to his team mates.
And that 70m pass to JR was just sublime. Jeez it's an asset to have him and Griff that can kick like that, gets it over the lines every time to a 1v1
It's amazing what happens, when we kick the ball to him. As last year we were predictable kicking it to Jack, yet he was still difficult for the backmen to stop & we haven't used him in the same way this year. The thing is Jack is a smart footballer when he moves around & the opposition struggle to control him when he play's in this way. So hopefully he becomes our main forward again, with the others chipping in to share the goals around. We look a more formidable side when we have this forward structure. Also good to see Dusty stringing some good 4 Qrt performances together. Good win today, hopefully string some wins together & get us back on track.Has there ever been a more emphatic answer to the critics than that absolute clinic Riewoldt just put on? Sensational work from him.

Miles had a heavy tag around stoppages from what I saw... Arnot didn't get a lot of it.. had i think 17-18.. but attack the contest well.. finished with a goal as well.. Pettard had a lot of the ball but didn't use it as well as you would hope but was our best... Maric played well I wonder if they bring him in next week or give him another week...How did they look in the VFL (havent hit that thread yet)?
38 touches.

Play him off HB personally. Time to give Vlastuin some midfield time when he gets back. I think its easier for us to cover a midfielder (even one of lids' quality) than it is to cover a quality HBF.Maybe we just need to leave him off a HB. Throw him in the middle/forward if struggling.
You never know what the club is thinking.. I'd think Arnot could be a defensive forward but Morro played that role well today.. I feel Dimma would bring in Pettard for his 'versatility'..obviously Miles is a monty, could be a coin toss between the other two?
Interesting question to start off, did Dimma take over the forward line coaching this week? Got a glimpse of him with the forwards at half time and the way we played up forward seemed completely different... Like we actually knew what we were doing... I don't know could have just been how shit GWS were?
It's funny it was Grigg's best game of the year for two reasons; He shut down GWS's best player and he didn't get a lot of the ball. I think Grigg has to be considered only a tagger from this point on. When he isn't running loose slowing the play up and bombing it into the forward 50 we look so much better but he actually has the ability to keep a player quiet without really noticing him doing it (hence no free kicks against him).
We probably were flat track bullies today but they didn't even look that useless against West Coast. We dried them up and fried them.
Hardwick seemed to make some good choices today. Morris up forward to shut down Shaw is a really good idea, and needs to be used against many of our good opponents. I don't think he allowed the other team to get a loose man in defence which IMO was the main reason we lost last week. While not every week I think Morris should play on the better of the other teams small forward or their running half back.
Foley looked reasonably good again and with any luck might just find himself as a permanent best 22.
Thomas was good but I'm not sure it would have worked as well if Jackson was fit.
Hampson was good enough to give Maric the time he needs to get close to 100% before returning.
Chaplin responded well also.
The remainder of the team all looked worthy this week.
I just hope we can do something special from here.. If we can't and we lose the next couple, the likes of Thomas, Foley, Grigg, Hampson, Chaplin should start making way for some youth. Hardwick should also still be under the pump. It sounds pessimistic but if GWS was just a win because it was GWS than there should be no less heat on anyone. Only time will tell, very happy with today though!!
I would love to annihilate Essendon next week.. cannot wait for next week now..

They trundled over the line against the Dogs and then BrisbaneDon't bet on it. We've beaten Carlton, Brisbane and GWS and lost to Footscray and Melbourne... Essendon are far better than all those sides
north will be coming off a win before playing us so they'll be due to loose tooI would love to annihilate Essendon next week.. cannot wait for next week now..
- there was vision of Dh with the fwds before the game as well, but maybe they tweeked the fwds role play a little.
- agree with the tagging role for grigg and did say why wasn't this done for the doggies.
- like the idea of morris as a fwd tagger.
- foley was good but is lacking pace but had a good game.
- disagree on the Thomas/Jackson fit will fail theory. thomas was stuffed in the last so this would've helped.
- hampson was better than just good enough for maric to have another week. as bad as he has been, you have to give him credit for his game not just in the ruck but around the ground too. I cant remember a better game from a ruck from us in a while.
just my view on your post.
I remember that game against collingwood in 2007 when he had a shit ton of clearences from the centre and kicked a few goals from those clearences. If he still had his pace it would be incredible.Remember the State game, then he was in career best form. Gee he was a gun.
I don't think you get what I meant RT.Spewing? Not really. Keeping it in perspective? Definitely.
Should be told to do what my old coach told me to do and that was if i couldnt find the ball then I should just follow someone who could. Might be griggs best place but we would need to give him a few concrete milkshakes before that becomes his permanent roleGrigg's best games outside his 2012 form have been as a tagging role - Today and the tag on Libber at Etihad. If he has to be in the side, this would be the only role he is suited to. He can run all day, so it makes perfect sense.
Well they only beat the lions by less than 10 points. We had a meltdown when we beat them by 43.Don't bet on it. We've beaten Carlton, Brisbane and GWS and lost to Footscray and Melbourne... Essendon are far better than all those sides
