When they were filming it at Etihad, it must take place pretty late in the series because one of the players came over to the fence to talk to his family. Pointed out who was already out and who was gonna make it. I could totally spoil this show for everyone right now.

Fitzy is the host. Vossy is the Coach. That's all we know so far.

Pretty sure Brad Sewell is involved somehow. He's tweeted photos of himself sitting in meetings with Voss.

Just one man shouldn't have all that power.

Do it

I've only stated who I've seen in the ads so far. I'm sure there'll be a few players past & present bobbing up during the show.

Milney and Kosi were playing in Shane Warne's team so I was happy to see that!

Just one man shouldn't have all that power.

With great power comes great responsibility.

Looks good.

I like it

Not the AFL bit but the inspiration, hope and opportunity it creates within our remote communities

If these players were serious about footy they'd be playing in state leagues already, plenty of people get talked up that they could play afl but they could never handle the mental side of the game if they won't give up a bit of money to play in a state league side.

Not necessarily. I know a guy who used to play for Gippsland Power, Steve Hazelman, captained Vic Country 2 yrs in a row from memory, won the coaches award at Gippy, and generally dominated in the league. Was highly touted to go in the draft Didn't get picked up as he was deemed too small. Never pursued state league footy as he ended up getting paid more playing in the country, plus he also got a job.

The bloke could play and still doing very well around the place. There are guys that are missed all the time that were good enough but were knocked back for a variety of reasons.

Is this for real, why would a club want a player that couldn't make it in the first place
Don't know about you but I reckon Michael Barlow or J Pod (wouldn't have been eligible but both didn't make it for a long time) or Dayne Zorko (would've been eligible) would be pretty handy at the Dees.

AFL is a pretty good sport for it because soccer or cricket usually you have to be part of the elite talent programs to have the high level skill required. If you drop out of the pathways it's a long way back. AFL junior development very early on in the piece becomes very professional and kids drop out but if they have the skill we've seen AFL clubs take guys from state leagues and get them fit and have success. If they find kids with 1 or 2 elite characteristics in an area like speed, fitness, agility, foot skills, marking then the clubs can develop the rest over time.

JPod and Barlow made it on there own, these guys are on some gimmick tv show and they won't even be able to play as the won't be on the senior or even rookie list, they'll have a spot similar to an international rookie which aren't allowed to play. These guys aren't good enough to scrap a late rookie draft selection

There are blokes all over country footy in Victoria that didn't get picked up for many reasons that would now be good enough for afl footy...just like there are lots of blokes who do get drafted that are proven after a while to be not up to it

Do we know which club the winner is going to?

Its a seppo idea. They did it last year for an UDFA to get a shot to walk on with a NFL team at training camp. Was on Spike TV in US hosted by Dion Sanders I think it was…

Bad idea and didn't work well but true to form, what is good for the US must be good for us…

Next we will see AFL Hardknocks in preseason….

Truth be told, that would probably work out well and rate highly….

Go Catters

ps - I want a producer credit when it goes….
