In - Yeo, Selwood, Ellis, NN
Out - Carter, Hutchings, Cox, Sheed

Need to roll the dice. We have nothing to lose.

Yeo is a highly skilled player who shouldn't have lost any real fitness. He should be right to come straight back.

Selwood has been talked up by Simmo the past few weeks so i wouldn't be surprised if he comes straight back either, wouldn't mind if he misses.

One things for sure is that Cox needs to go, and we need to hurry up and move on from 3 rucks.

OUT - Cox, Hutchings, Carter
IN - Nicnat, Yeo, Selwood

He's no star but is a pit bull of a man, and gives grunt and determination. Lots of smothers, tackles, pressure acts and one percenters. Even kicking the occasional goal too. I'd have him in for now.
Next year, hopefully not.

Please be the week McGinnity goes out. 7 touches at 57%. Ineffectual. Again.

Here we go another stats junkie, Obviously you dont grasp the modern day game.
Everyone plays their role , you have players that carry , some ruck , some negate .
Mcginnity pressures at contests & the ball carrier & he plays this role 100% perfectly ,
Simmo acknowledges this in his presser and uses him to this effect.
...more to footy than stats.

Zero 1%ers last night. He doesn't do enough. I'd rather get games into Tunbridge or Colledge and play them in the same role, as McGinnity has reached his peak and is not good enough.

Really? What impact has he had in the last fortnight? Who has he negated? I don't need stats to know he doesn't do enough for the team. We have younger players with much higher potential who we would get a long term benefit from playing in his place.

Have you ever been near a football ground & watched any football live lately ?
Let me tell you sunshine the tackles make big thuding sounds & the hits are hard enough to jar the bones of huge men let alone a keyboard warrior like you.
Boys get pushed off the ball just like fluff because when mature players in thier late 20's hit you, it hurts, so the more experienced
bigger bodied players you got in your 22 the more chance you got of winning, OK Macca aint the most talented player but hes playing like hes life depends on it so until we get some players back from injury or our younger recruits grow bigger & stronger and can sustain the big hits & tackles repeatedly for the whole game , he will be in the the 22 & playing his role perfectly.

Quick get Simmo on the phone, he needs to listen to this bloke immediately,
Mcginnity needs to be dropped asap because the stats prove the coach is wrong.
Seriously mate, I think there's a reason why he keeps playing him.

So you're just going to ignore every argument and keep going on about tackling all day? In my previous post, I didn't mention stats, yet you keep going on about them. Who did he shut down? What was his role? Why are we better off playing a poorly skilled 25 year old with no further potential over players younger than 21 who have a much, much higher ceiling, who have a similar pace and can tackle just as hard?

And I have played, coached and watched plenty of football, not that it would matter.

What happened to players having to come in through the WAFL? Aside from Nic and maybe Ellis. Selwood and Yeo have been out for long enough that they should play WAFL before AFL IMO, unless we're really short of options.

That said, I would really like to see Yeo play again before season's end.

McGinnity created multiple goals with his tackling pressure. There was one occasion where Garland marked in the back pocket from a kick in and got called to play on and McGinnity closed him down in the blink of an eye and smothered the ball and you can just tell that Garland was completely shocked by how fast he was closed down. I dont mind him being in the team really.

Perfect weather forecasted, hopefully it doesn't change.

Because Simpson is trying to make the finals and is drawing on as much experience as possible.
That and I think surprisingly he is showing the sort of pressure acts that we lacked for a lot of games.

Mcginnity is a hack whose only ability is to chase and tackle. He's completely ineffectual against the best teams and he was poor the previous few games before last night anyway. It's nice that he chases and tackles, but he's not a footballer's arseh*le, and chasing and tackling is a hell of a lot easier when playing against a team that has no forward structure, a lazy midfield and where the backmen move the ball at a snails pace because they have no one to kick to.

He has no place in a premiership contending team, which is what we should be building towards.
